17" All season, but for winter?

The E320 Bluetec I am getting has 17" all season wheels and tires. For winter should I also get 17" or 16"?

Will mileage be affected? Appearance I think is better wiht 17" handling? Anyone else from snowland?

16" winter tires might be less expensive. As long as the outside diameter is the same, gas mileage should not be affected...Winter tires certainly will be much better on snow and ice than all season tires.(unless your car is a 4matic, in that case the all seasons should be sufficient)
