how is this brand monarch wheels? i know they are very cheap relative to HRE, etc... Manufacture said 20x8.5 is 26.5 lbs and 20X10 is 28 lbs. Is that light of for a wheel that size? What about quality? I know you get what you pay for but i see many members going with this wheel. I love the style too and an considering myself. Feedback?

I went with these (19" no lip) off ebay. Wheel and tire package totaled $1800 minus tax, shipping was free.

2006 E55 2004 Audi S4 (gone and missed)
Just ordered the same wheels for my black 55 last week. After seeing them on your car, I can't wait till they get here. I was gonna go with the Vredsteins as well, but they talked me into going with General's Instead. I was told that Vredsteins was not doing well in the U.S. market and they might pull out, which would make it difficult to get a replacement tire if I need one. Hope I made the right decision. Any insight?

I'm guessing you're getting the General Exclaim UHP?
I have these on my CLK320 and they're a pretty good tire, but i don't think they have enough grip for the E55...so i don't think i'd pick them, even though they're reeeeally cheap.
General Tire is owned by Continental, if i remember correctly.

Yes, General Tire is owned by Continental. Yeah I'm getting the General Exclaim UHP. I know that the guys on Audizine like these tires because they're pretty lightweight compared to some others, and because of the price. Unfortunately my rims have already been shipped so there isn't much I can do about this. I'm gonna need new tires in 5,000 miles anyway. I'll let you guys know how it works out once I get them on.

They are 19's made by Monarch wheels (http://www.monarch-wheels.com/wheels.php). The lip is chrome and the face is polished with gunmetal windows. They are 2-3lbs lighter than the stock wheels.
I'm running Vredsteins 275/30 on the rears and 255/35 on the fronts. Wheel fitment was perfect. No problems with brake clearance. Simply a bolt on installation. I believe the offsets in the rears are 35et and the fronts are 30et. Also, the TPMS sensor swapped out perfectly.
I decided on this wheel as it is very affordable ($1600 for all 4), lighter than stock wheels yet larger, look like OEM amg wheels, and have a big lip. Enjoy!

For those interested in getting a set of these rims or the non-lip version, talk to Roy at Monarch Wheels. He's a great guy and will take care of you.

I just got my 20" Monarchs a couple of weeks ago, but I'm waiting to get some tires for them after the holidays. Oh by the way I paid $1400 for the set (locally). Damn I can't wait to put them on!!

and is your car lowered?
i used to have 245/35/20's and 275/35/20
since the car is lowered it sometimes rubbed when i turned up driveways
i switched out and got 245/30/20 and now it drives excellent
looks lower and never rubs

Not to take this thread slightly off topic but are you saying you are running 245/30/20 in front and 275/35/20 in the rear? If so, that is quite a bit of diameter mismatch. 30 series front and 25 series rear would be a better match for OEM diameters.

Those rims look good
They sound a bit on the cheap side though, I'm going to guess not forged at a minimum. Does anyone know how they would stack up against the stock 18" in terms of durability?
