Since everyone seemed to have lots of fun yesterday, and I've been getting tons of PMs on when our next event will be, I'd like to announce our next track meet: I will try to rent the track on Saturday, January 17th 2009. We will have BOTH LANES open and full day of racing

The event will be LIMITED TO 30 CARS only. The fees are $250 per car + $8 PayPal fees for a total of $258 per car. And again, spots will be given on first-come-first-serve basis. We won't collect any payment until we confirm the track date availability from Famoso's management team or by track owner (if I can get hold of him again ). If the track date is confirmed, we'll need to collect all payments by Monday, January 12th 2009. We will aim to start early, but since the area sometimes gets fogy, we'll have to adapt

Count me in this time. I still haven't had a chance to run my car in the 1/4, a bunch of street races but this is a whole different game...exciting! Hopefully I could hit Sacramento Raceway before I come down so I don't embarrass myself too badly.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Everyone is cool and this private track rental is a perfect place to begin. Seriously you will be able to get in so many runs in, unlike those other public events.

Okay guys, looks like this event will be BIG, so we're giving it a name to make it even more exciting. We're calling it:

We may be giving out trophies or prizes for certain categories. Rick will take the lead on this one, as he's the best man for the job. Rick and I will be the judges while Lisa will have the tie breaking vote if needed. Here are some suggestions:

- Fastest Run Of The Day
- Worst Launch/Burnout
- Slowest Run Of The Day???? (this one could get tricky).

Great job and setting up a successful event, this one should be great!

Think about it, we had 10 cars and one lane, and there was never a line at the stage.

2 lanes but only 30 cars will be the same setup, everyone will get in as many runs as they want.

The track officials follow the rules so if you do not have a roll bar you better get off the fuel top end.

They are very professional and follow NHRA rules, must be nice to have to worry bout such things HEHE

i'm shooting for ridiculous, but i doubt 10.99 is going to happen for me without negative da. have you applied any corrections to my last run? give me a forcast of what i "could" do if i make it out there next month.

Did you check the DA on my weather station before or after your pass? If it was 2600' DA then corrected sea level pass would put you at 11.03 @ 125.67.
