simple easy ipod soloution for e55 and e63

If you guys dont want to buy the ipod kit i found a great way cheap simple way to integrate my ipod into the stereo.

http://www.buy.com/prod/panasonic-rp...7.html#cRevSec

its 25 bucks and wirelessly transmits sound.

you can either hold onto the remote and leave the ipod in the glove box or hookup the remote to the aux in and control the ipod by hand(i prefer the latter method)

considering some monster cables can cost $20 this isnt a bad deal.

Huh, that is pretty cool. I could never run the wire properly from the glovebox to the arm console, so this is pretty neat.

Tis hidden in the glove box, on the top part. However, I think only 05+ have them? As soon as you open up the door, look around where the hindge is....you'll see the aux in.

Is the aux input in the glovebox? I've yet to find one on an 03-04 E55 but would love to know if it exists and where? .....

Yes, it's in the glovebox. I have an 04 E55 and I used the aux input before I switched to the Mercedes-Benz iPod kit which I can now control through the steering wheel. Once again installed by MBenzNL.

This item looks like the watered-down version of the IJET. I would get the IJET over this. Does the same thing but has a wireless bluetooth remote that syncs w/ IPod so you can read the text of your songs/playlists right on the remote. Check that out if you are considering this product. Being able to see the songs/playlists that you are scrolling through on the remote which is just as small as the one that Panasonic is offering is the biggest difference for the $.

I have an 04 and I have one in the glove box. While it does work, you have to either a) open the glove box to jack with your ipod or b) leave the glove box open. With either option, you must get the MB part in order to control the ipod with the steering wheel controls.

I bought the euro navi for my 03 and put the aux input into the center counsel.... it was kind of a pain in the a$$ to to get the right cable, but definitely worth it.

Yep. Just plug it in and you can listen to the tunes. No headphones are necessary, if you have the aux plug in the glove box. After you plug it in, go to the audio menu and select the auxiliary option and you will have your ipod over your stereo. Unless you have "additional" parts, you will still need to access your ipod to change songs, etc.
