Clear Bra Question

Has anyone used another source other that the dealer to install a clear bra on their C63 or other MBZ?

I am looking for someone other than the dealer to install the clear bra on the front of my new C63.

Thanks in advance!

Phil

The dealer is probably the last place i'd go for a clear bra. most of the jobs i've seen have been horrendous.

I know THE place in my neck of the woods, but you may want to try Premier - I believe they're near you. I think they also do some "road shows" every now and then.

BTW, do you really think you need it on the C? The car isn't that low.

Here, i went and checked - they're in Freemont http://www.premiermobilegroup.com/

I got mine at the dealer and they did an amazing job. They have a lot of experience doing this. They actually get someone from the company they use to come and do it so they dont do it themselves in reality.

The dealer will be slightly more expensive I have found for this. Many good window tinting shops will also do this. There are also a lot of different films out there for this. I am not sure if one is better than the other. In the end, the installer is the most important thing here. It all depends on how well they install it. I was very happy with my install - had both cars done at dealer and they did a great job.

that the front end is somewhat flat and the spoiler and hood seem to get a lot of bugs and stones on my daughters C300.

I want to avoid this by installing the clear bra now. I did purchase it with my 335i that I recently sold and it totally saved the front end and was definitely worth the money (about $600 if I remember)

Thanks for the tip on where to look!

Happy New Year

Premier Mobile Group is the BEST I've seen. I had all my cars done there. I have a couple of threads on their work somewhere on here. You won't be disapointed.....

is that the same premier Mobile that cte430 is referring to in post #2 on this thread? How much did it cost for the clear bra?

Happy New to you and your Family Mo, my old friend

Phil

(maybe after I get some of the goodies that I'm planning on, MHP tune, maybe shorty headers etc, I can join you at the drags again!)

Yes, it's the same one. I think the front kit is around $750.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to you as well my friend I can't wait to see your new beast in action at the tracks

I'm going to need some Toyo R888's this thing has so much torque out of the hole! I barely launch hard and the Pirelli's spin.

I have another 800 miles of break-in so it will be a while before I run her hard.

Regards

Phil

I had all my front (hood, fenders, bumper, rearviews and lights) done by Bumper Shield at my home on a Sunday for $800. Quique did a great job which is very hard to detect unless you're really close to the car.

I heartily recommend him, but I think you'd have to bring your car to Puerto Rico to have it done...easy....just island-hop to the Caribbean

NorCal - Premier
SoCal - Aerotech

I would give Premier the edge if you are in SoCal and don't mind the drive up.

Premier here as well. Read some reviews of their work a while ago and did some more research on the other forums (6spd, fchat, and a few others) and they are highly regarded. They will be doing my Black Series as soon as I get it home in a week. I wouldn't use someone else. I have heard theyre opening in Socal, so I would check with them bout that

Is this stuff removable? ...without having to return to the same installer?

Generally, it must be professionally removed if you wanted removed.... the more skilled the installer/remover, the less damage you'll encounter.

someone nailed the front corner of my car, and I had to remove the film from my impact strip. Came off cleanly and easily.

Yeh, this stuff works very well. Someone drove a shopping cart to the front end and tore up the film. Premier pulled it off and found no damage except for a microscratch that they were able to buff out. Good stuff from a great vendor!
