Good day at Sacramento Raceway!!!

Alright boys, I'm hoping after these results we start getting a few more guys up here. I don't have much track experience (2nd time to the track) but today was definitely a good day for both Blueknight and myself. I made a total of 5 passes today with the last one being my fastest - 60' 1.828, et 11.569 @ 123.724 mph. This is my new personal best and I'm glad to have such great times after only 10 runs in 2 days. This time was done with Toyo T1R's street tires.

Bluenight also had a great day, he destroyed his PB with a ET 11.86?. He was knocking on the 11 second door for most of the day and finally did on his last run He made a few changes and nailed it like a champ. I'm sure he'll chime in with his results. Thanks again Nick for the help, it's really appreciated. BTW...this run was on stock 18" chromed rims with Contis...

It was also nice meeting you GreekE500, it was kind of you to make it down. I was hoping for a few more to show up but I guess everyone really must hate Sacramento. I really don't think it could be that bad if a Noobe like me got in the 11's 4 out of 5 runs today averaging a 123.5 mph. Just imagine what experience dragsters like yourself could do

Forgot to mention that there was a fast azz 335 there that went 11.84-5 at 117 ish...I think. They took everything out of this car looking for the record and I believed they nailed it. Either way it was a fast azz Bimmer and a big

I'll post up my time-slips tomorrow.

I'm fairly certain you'd of pulled on my 600 if we could've met up while you were in LA w/that NASTY TRAP damned near 124mph w/heavy *** chomies nontheless, I'd love to see you re-run w/some lighter HRE comp 18's, I see low 11.40's in your near future bud!

Was that 335 White? I think I know who the owner is "Hotrodd" handle or something close to it I knew they had to be doing more than ECU only to that 335 to be fetching 117 traps ie gutted interior ehhhh...

Thanks. I don't think I could've beat you, I hear how nasty the SL600's are. Either way it would've been fun. As for the weight of my wheels...I know they suck but I just can't decide what I want I may start off with getting some Evosport Floating rotors to reduce my unsprung weight...is that right?

As for 11.4's, I think it's a possibilty but I seriously need to get my head out of my azz and improve on my 60' times, but I'm learning each time. At least this time I didn't hit any 13's like my last trip I hit a 12.2-3, 11.9, 11.82, 11.702, and my best 11.569.

It was a black 335 from Ventura. It was a tuner and his customer. This kid had the hook up, data logging on each pass and custom tuning there on the spot.

Nah, it was a young kid average height and weight. The tuner was from Danville, at least that's what I heard.

Here's my slip from yesterday. This run was against a fast vet that was hitting 11.5's all day. He ended up beating me by .03 seconds, I really need to work on my R/T! I assure you though, he was suprised to see me on his a$$.

Nothing special about my launch technique except playing around with my tire pressure. I started off at 43 PSI and ended up at 35 PSI. As for launch technique, I basically I followed the Sticky "how to drag". One thing I did do on that last run was a longer burnout. I usually did a 1 second burnout just to clean my tires but on this particular run I did a 3 second burnout.

As for my power mods I have VRP's VR600. A great affordable mod that hauls a$$. I've been very pleased with Vadim and his customer service.

Even more impressive was the tires he was running. He left 2/10ths on the table just with his tires. A good set of drag radials would have put his 60' down into the high 1/6's or low 1.7's and he would have easily run a 11.3something.

Nice runs.....what was the DA up there?

Thanks!

I used weather underground and Dragtimes.com to calculate the DA and it was -600. The weather was pretty cool, it was around 52 degrees or so when I did my last run.

I was hoping some of you Hemi boys would be there. There were a lot of fast a$$ cars there yesterday including a Honda CRX that pulled off a 9 something...

43 & 35 wow that's high, I wish I would have been able to make it. If you would have run at about 25psi it may have help your 60' but on the other hand it may have slowed your trap speed. I ran my tires at 25psi when I last ran there but I only managed a 1.97 60' on my hard Nitto 555's. Awesome job you can rip a 11.2-to 11.3 with some DR's or if you go with the drag pack you could be knocking on Nate's door with less power

I'm not sure how much better I could do with street tires.

I'll post up my time-slips tomorrow.
I went 11.99 @ 117.524 in my tune only white 335i sedan. Besides tires and gas, its all factory. I definitely didn't do any weight reduction!

The black coupe you saw had exhaust, intercooler, intake, upgrades etc. So he should have done pretty good. I on the other hand have the fastest "tune only" 335i. I think the BMW you saw yesterday had a big subwoofer, so they took that out. I don't think he was taking out any factory equipment as far as what I had heard.

I really like Sacramento. It is not crowded, and the people are nice.

Is it true that the weather report was wrong for the track? They said there was a 12-17mph tail wind during the afternoon. But people keep saying that is was pretty calm. In your opinion, was that the case?
