E55 custom exhaust????
Hi everyone new to this forum just bought a 2003 E55 on new years day. it has a Renntech pulley and ECU and some of those green air filters not sure of the brand but any ways , the car is amazingly fast with endless power but no sound at all. I took the car to a friends shop and put it on a lift and was looking at the full exhaust system. I was wondering if I took it to a shop and had the resonators cut out and a straight pipe welded in and the secondary cats cut and a X-pipe put it what would happen? would it void the warranty? would any lights come on? there are not any O2 senors for the secondary cats right? how would it sounds and would there be a power difference? thanks for the help

Yes you would void the warranty in the eyes of MBUSA.
Removing the secondary cats will most likely cause the CEL to come on.
Sound will go up
you will probably see an increase of 4 or 5 hp
Look for the X-pipe thread and the long tube header thread (Only read the first two pages of the header thread it get's stupid after that)

Seriously dude, hang back and just read a thread or two, you don't need to weigh in on every thread. Especially when your knowledge is questionable at best...

You still digging all over the internet to find anything? Good luck. Just man up. we all learn something new from the ones that we least expect to. it doesn't mean i am smart. it means I like E55s MUCH MORE. You are still smarter.

I will say it does and will set a code (P0136/P0156 and P0140/P0160)
I don't care how much you love E55's it doesn't mean you know how they work

I don't need to explain the codes they are common codes. they are OBD-II codes. You know On Board DIAGNOSTICS.... That's right you think OBD is on board display......
