Not true. Sema.org This link goes over the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. Worst thing is you couldn't get your car smogged due to visual inspection failure (at least here in CA).

not really. They can build you some pipes, but unless they have a dyno in the shop they aint gonna build the collectors right and thats going to cost power

Mikey's car ran an awesome time last weekend, and he benefited from custom long tube headers. Looks pretty good for just "some pipes".
