Has anyone installed this on their cars?

Or know of any Nav-TV dealers in California?

I love it!
I am getting ready to replace my car and I still want to stick that on there like NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As to factory remote start, it is seldom done as there is too much liability involved.

Midcity Engineering is local to me here in Chicago. I've spoken to them before and they seem fairly competent. I emailed them about this module and will let you guys know what they say. I agree w/ everyone else - this should be a no brainer. Hopefully they won't gouge on the price.

got a reply from mid city...
- unit is not ready yet and will be for keyless go cars first
- they tested on ml and are still working on others
here is what i got from nav-tv....
they got a unit for E, SL, and new C class without keyless go ready to go ....about 2-3 week lead time to receive unit. they said it will be about a 1000$ installed. i am going to test a nav tv unti on my car and sign up as distributor for them, will offer installations to people in NJ/PA area.

both units look very interesting. I want one!
From what I was able to tell...and please correct me if I am wrong, the Nav-TV unit wont keep the car running if you unlock the doors. But the other one by mid city engineers will allow for the car to continue to run if you unlock the doors. Is that right? If this is the case I think I like Mid City Engineers version more. Wonder how much for this unit? I do have keyless go for my car.

well they told me it was preliminary pricing. top of the line 2 way paging autopage is about 500-600 installed. keep i mind you CAN NOT install auto page or DEI product on a W211 platform.....because of the stock security system and the way the keys are. i have been trying to get remote start ever since i bought this car and no-one would touch it and i have a lot of friends in the business. i will get pricing from nav-tv when i fill out the dealer application......but 1000-1200 installed is what Bob told me over the phone today !

That is really cool. I would be down with a group buy if that would be possible. But for $1,000-$1,200 that's rediculous! I like the engineneer one better anyway. Hopefully they will be reasonable with their price and won't gouge.
