I sell the ASP 180mm for $799 and I also sell LET pulleys and tunes I just became a veder for them in South FL. In the process of working on getting there tuner kit so I can start doing there tunes on the spot in south Florida and will be connected with LET via wireless for dynoing if your looking for a dynotune over a base flash, contact me if interested.

ASP has only been making the 180mm for a little over a month or two now so ifyou didn't order it direct from them recently you have the old size. As for my shop I'm in the high end used car dealership industry and my friend owns a automotive repair shop. We don't own a dyno and can use any dyno you would like to tune on, I'm in the process of buying the LET tuning kit so I can do all the tuning for them in south Florida. The dyno you choose must have internet if you would like a custom dyno tune since I will connect with jerry and or Wayne and they get the real time numbers and dyno sheets and custom tune real time and send me the new program to upload to your car. I will have more details soon above everything.

When they came to do the dyno tunes last weekend we used the dyno at Rage_tek in davie, fl it was a dynojet in ground and the guys there did a good job. But as long as the dyno is near here I would be willing to meet you and tune your car once I get up and running with LET

Yeah i have to agree we live in Florida and the pulley has no bad affects as long as you have the cooling mods on your E55. Below are some pictures of our 3 cars from the LET day the silver one is Perrys from the Board the Renntech stg 4.5 the white one is ALs stage 1 and the Tectite Gray is my E55 1st pic with the Brabus 20s i took off then second with my 07+SL style 19s just waiting on the CCWs to come in the mail. If anyone wants either of the rims in the pictures there both for sale.

I would but I have to see what the forum rules are since I am not a vender/sponer here yet. I guess I would qualify if LET is since Im a vender of there company and products. Also what price were you thinking of for the pulley? The retail is 895+shipping. I offer it for $799 which I think is a great price and by far the cheapest pulley out there. I think k1 does $830 shipped or something like that I will be doing $815 shipped in conti 48.

Yes. This is accurate. 15psi is about where you want to be on these kompressors. 18psi is their limit but I feel you are overspinning them over 15psi.
The heat it generates at 15psi already requires quite a bit of cooling to keep under control. If you are making this much boost you already pretty much need a reservoir in the trunk and have to run ice to keep the IAT down to a level where the car can make it through the 1/4 without jumping over 140F.
Over 140F it will pull timing and you will run slower than stock. The big pullies are great for making peak power numbers on the dyno for bragging rights but not such a great idea outside of that.
If you want to test for yourself, put 2 identical cars side by side.. put a 175mm pulley on one car and a 180mm on another car and run them for 1/2mile. The 175mm car will come out ahead. Also, try hotlapping those 2 cars down the 1/4mile and see what happens.
Our 2piece crank pulley was designed so we could run different size boost rings but I didnt want to make anything more than the 175mm at this point.
Case in point, some guys with the older Kleemann 168mm pulley were running almost identical times to guys with the 175mm pullies. Why? Because the bigger pulley guys really need to make sure they have adequate cooling whereas the 168mm guys need an upgraded pump and are good to go.
This is all in my humble opinion and is my $0.02 worth so take it for what it is...

Here' something I found that was posted a while ago by Vrus.
The E55 is limited to what it can do because of the blower.. Anything more than 15psi and you are just making more heat. S/C is out of its efficiency range. This is why running a pulley any bigger than the 175mm is pointless.

thanks for that info.
im currently trying to decide on what to do with my pulley.
im running the older 168mm kleeman pulley but im thinking of changing to a larger one.
even though the weather doesnt get too hot over here in vancouver, bc i will definitely be doing a cooling upgrade.
thing is i do not know which size pulley to go with.

As far as the 175mm goes, not sure where that number came from but had a person claim he had a ASP 175 MM from years back.. Maybe a few very early runs were 175mm but ASP said 178mm from day one..

I checked with lee at asp also and he said their old pulley was just over 177mm and the new one (which is the largest they make) is 180mm. asp has never made a 175mm pulley.

I can not speak for a 175mm pulley but my 178mm and 180mm pulley all performed great at the track (warm and cold weather). My data logs showed no major heat issues with either pulley,, as long as I had a working I/C pump.. ... I always track tested my mods and do not play the dyno game. I ran 11.74 with just a pulley, Tstat and 80mmTB MOD only.. Ran on street tires too.

By identical; I assume you mean bone stock cars but one with 175mm and 180mm? Would also have to be in hot weather to hit 140 spike. I know this rule would not apply to all mods and conditions.. To me it would be vary hard to test two cars , side by side with only 5mm of pulley seperation. To many factors and variables to be a consistent test..IMO..

I data logged my ride all last summer.. and heat issue in LA traffic is not that bad.. obviously running on a 90+ degree will hurt performance on ANY car..
but for the most part, 178mm + ECU, with good pump and HE is a perfect combo.
any of those components are vital..
I'm not sure making the switch to a 180mm is worth for it for me.. I will eventually pull the trigger on the HEM or shorty headers and work on a TB upgrade when its more economically feasible.
