What do you guys think of the 05 SL55 AMG rims

I just purchased a set with 10K miles on them, mint, OEM rims for $600. Got them off craigslist, did I do ok? I think they will look nice and clean on my 04 E55.

Let me know if anyone is looking for mint 04 E55 rims with only 14K miles on them. $600 takes them.

Yes, if they are in mint condition then you got them at a steal!
...just as long as the off set allows them to fit on your E. I know they'll fit the CLS, but not sure about the E. Got pics?

Are you referring to the multi-spoke wheels of 8.5 and 9.5 x 18 (not the wider same style as stock E55)? If so, I briefly had a set on my car and they fit fine, but I got rid of them because they are so heavy (felt like anchors at each corner). It's that's not a consideration for you, then all's good and you paid the about the going rate for a used set of those rims.

Are they heavier than our stock rims? If so I will pull out of the sale. They are the multi-spoke rims. It is a big consideration as I am very into power/weight reduction where I can. Thanks for the input.

Yes, the SL55 multi-spokes weigh more than the E55 stockers.

IIRC, it's about 2 - 3 lbs. per corner. I just remember it really got my attention how heavy they are, and I was already thinking the stockers were too heavy. Maybe if some guys have sets of either laying around, they can weigh them and post the results.
