I am considering purchasing a 2005 E55 AMG. I love the car... loook performance et al.

Just aquick q tho, is there any think I should be aware of before purchase? latent defects etc, on a 2nd hand cabby?

Been on this forum ever since I sparked an interest in the E55. I'm also hunting for a good-ole 05-06 E55.

From what I've read and seen on here, just get the warrantee.
Saves you a bunch of headaches.

Common failures are the IC Pump, Air Suspen. and the SC Clutch. Then you have the little electrical tid-bits that fail every once in a while. But from what I've read those three are the major ones...

... Then you start modding and it really gets expensive.
