he probably will find some 100 oct ..
with that setup.. he will pull you.. atleast according to some of the trap speeds I have seen with JB3 race map and race gas.
I have nothing but respect for the n54 engine.. just sometimes the post I read on the other side seem to be very one sided.

Nice kill.
But in the video description it says "E55 has a tune"? If so, then its not bone stock.
A "tuned"(pulley or not) 55k will walk away from a "Bone stock" 55k.
Just want to clearify that before anyone with a stock 55k going out there thinking they can pull on a stage III 335. Its not going to happen.
Race gas is a waste of money if you don't have the proper tune for it.
Most N54 softwares carries more than one map that the drive can switch from. Pump gas, mixed gas, and full race gas.

It is actually bone stock with exhaust, I wouldn't consider it a tune since it was only a private mb shop that messed with the ecu a bit, nowhere near a vrp or evo tune, not to worry, most is 5hp gains.

very little you can do.. without actually flashing the ECU.
A real tune will change AFR, timing, load %, bypass valve %, speed limiter, ect..
I would not call it a tune either.

Nice KILL!
If you listen for that distinct BMW chime at 21 seconds that usually means the display is reading a "Engine Malfunction Reduce Power" warning. The 135/335/535 eat turbos and have shown fuel pumps failing pretty often especially after beating the snot out of it regularly.
They run very well but have a myriad of problems. Stick to the MB's!
That BMS stuff basically disables the safety parameters that BMW puts in this engine's DME by repinning quite a few wires in the harness.
Post up the rematch video!

Thats sick. Good stuff.
I had an encounter with a 335 the other day that definitely had some work done.. His car sounded mean. Granted there were 3 other guys in my car and he was alone, the guy started passing me at about 50mph
If I was alone, it would have been a different story

if they used the star sys to mess with the timing and octante settings... that is not a tune.

Sounds right to me.. Good Kill! Your E55 is practically stock. Exhaust doesn't add much to your car. I have worked on many 335's and installed piggy backs on them, catless downpipes, intakes, etc..
Stock N54's boost about 7 psi stock. And with a piggy back alone you can go up to around 15 psi. I have seen one that was boosting 18 psi. The race gas allows these cars to run a much more aggressive map and higher boost levels. These are great little cars IMO. The quickest of them runs high 11s on race gas and drag radials to my knowledge. The majority of the modded jb3 or vishnu 335's can run mid to low 12s.

The 335 does better from 0-80mph, the turbo's are small and gearing works against it , rolling from 40 mph is taking away the cat quickness of the bimmer. so yeah you should beat a modded 335 from a roll . You would be trailing that car 0-60mph after 60 the reel in begins from 80-120 you should be pulling away. Fun stuff, itys actually a very good match up
