i love all this "badge bashing" on these forums but im willing to bet half the guys that start these "the guys a douche" comments or the "kick them in the *****" wouldnt even make such comments face to face.Not trying to call anybody out but im always lurking these forums in search of good mods,help on issues with our cars,and if I can to help out a fellow mb owner,but these posts just keep popping up,I swear I feel like I was in grammar school where if your sneakers werent authentic jordans or reebok pumps all the kids would laugh.just my 2 cents
Dude... this car has a 5.5L supercharged engine.... not a 6.3.... that to me, is stupid. There is no way around it. It’s like putting a 350Z badge on an old *** 300ZX.... It just drives me up the wall. I see this all the time... people throw AMG badges on non AMG cars... now they sell Black Series badges that fit right under you AMG badge.... Sorry, I just think that sh*t is stupid. Don't be someone your not and don't pretend you drive something that it isn't.
If he wanted to do it right he could have just bought the new version of the 55 badge that has the same style as the 63….

Here is another example.... Old E that is not an AMG but all badged up with 63 badges and some fake exhaust....
Oh well... maybe it’s just me.... I mean I was thinking of getting a hours end throwing some stripes on it and calling it a Zebra….

Seller mentions in the ebay add that if he didn't find a buyer, he would trade it in to a dealer. What respectable dealer in their right mind would even touch a car like this? It would be a nightmare to explain to prospective buyer!

ahh the accident explains why he chose the newer parts. I thought it looked nice until I looked closer with the comments above. The front is off alignment slightly. You guys need to come check out my next new car before I buy it (whenever that is). haha

why do people do this? Fine, he wanted the updated look and that is fine and all is good there. Actually did a good job with the conversion. BUT why change the E55 badge to say E63 and the side badges to the 6.3 AMG badges. whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Actually I am the kind of person that will call another person out for being a dip sh*t!! he wrecked it twice in less than 6 months...

Title could still be clean even if it was wrecked. A salvage title is only issued if the car's total damage comes out to be more than a certain percentage of what the car is worth. It varies state to state but is usually around 70% or so. (ie car's worth 10k, 7k worth of damage would warrant a salvage title) Also, keep in mind that if the car never went through an insurance company, then it could very well be clean title even though it should have been salvage. This happens often with motorcycles (sportbikes in particular) where someone doesn't have collision insurance and will repair it themselves.

couple days ago, i saw an S43 AMG. it wasn't even an amg sport packaged s430, yet driver was proud of it, all windows down, rolling like a superstar ;p
yesterday i saw a CL500 AMG on 22's, the AMG badge he placed on there was so far off, only about 2 inches from the middle of the trunk lol. hey if they feel better good for them, for us that are in the know they look like fools but for common folk...

If you wanted the updated look all you have to do is change the bumper cover and grill right? How much does the conversion cost? My brother just hit a concrete divider and messed up my front bumper so I thought since I have to replace it anyway I may as well get the E63 bumper.

I saw this car about 2 weeks ago on eBay and I thought the same thing.... I would bet that this guy either rear ended or was rear ended and pushed into the car in front of him and had to replace everything. I like the front end conversion but I have read that they don’t match up as smooth as we would think… ie. Gap from hood to headlights.
Anyway…. The guy needs to be kicked in the twig and berries for being a *****!!!... and then you should tell him for his next project he should turn a Fiero into a Lambo….
