Too much NOS and backyard supercharging yes, but high revs and mis shifts not so much since the stock LS7 was tested at 8K RPMS and at stock will stop at the rev limiter at 7.2K RPMs. Most 2006-2007 LS7 failures are due to rocker arm bearing failures which is covered under a recall warranty and a known problem by GM. 2006-2008 LS7 also have failures on left turns with more than 1g due to oil starvation and an exhaust valve failure due to premature wear which is a somewhat common problem. To fix these problems one can change out the rocker arm bearings, increase the oil capacity, and change out the valves especially if modding it.

Still looking for engine weight of the 6.3! because as time has told the "real story" these engines are not so reliable after all. (Do you expect 'only' 54,800 miles out of your 100k+ dollar automobile?)
Hence, I need to know the weight of the engine + tranny so I can set the cherry pickers lift arm angle accordingly.
