Only good thing about M mode on the 63's is you can select the AMG screen on the cluster and it lights up red when it is time to shift. It takes practice, but I finally can use this without missing shifts and hitting the limiter.

I assumed our cars already came with speedshift plus even though it doesn't feel like it. After all, doesn't MB USA advertise it on their website, or use to?

Agreed. I noticed that while the shifts were quicker in M, the delay between hitting the button and having the shift begin was too long. I would have to hit the button before 6,000 to get it to shift by 6,500 rpm. If you are checking the board to see your 60' time (and decide whether to abort or not), it is easy to miss the shift point.

I just leave it in S

the shift time in M mode is 1.4 that is why u have to shift early .. renntech speed shift brings it down to .4 it works .. the new 63's shift at .4 already wish e55's did but what can we do lol get a speed shift put in right ..

what makes u think this is a renntech tune and not just the AMG speed shift plus i posted above?
also i do nto think the 63 shift at 0.4 sec in M mode sorry, as they to complain about the delay when shifting, but maybe not as bad as th e55.

Again M mode when rolling not form a dig as it is too hard to get right

I doubt its .4 sec in the 63. There is definately a noticeable lag, which almost always caues me to bounce off the rev limiter when trying to do 7k shifts in first

yup, you will have to shift early in first....and well in a 55k you will be spining hard if esp is off, so you will have to take it easy

Try M mode when you are rolling speed, to get some practice in, its fun!
S is the easiest ofc

1.4 stock for old Speedshift sounds incredibly long, is this a factory-given number? That's an eternity, I've been in Toyotas that seem to shift quicker than that.
