cm90

Can a cm90 pump be used on the e55 and does it work all the time? Will the cm90 give your car more hp ? Since it can flow more then the cm30 and is all ways working to keep the temp low ?

Also does the stock pump work all the time or only when you are on the throttle. Like when you stop at the lights does the stock pump stop working ?

Yes it could be used on the E55. You can wire it so it works while the car is on and you can also keep it on with the car off. I don't think it'll give you more hp but it'll definitely make the car run more consistent.

If you are going to mod, pulley etc. then a cm90 and HE are in order. If not, look no further then a cm30.

there's plenty of debate on whether or not the extra flow of the cm90 compared to the cm30 is beneficial and there's no definite answer yet. it is my personal belief that the cm90 is not worth the trouble since you need to increase the size of the inlet/outlet lines for it to flow at it's rated capacity. i also believe it flows to quickly and doesn't allow the coolant sufficient time in the h/e to decrease it's temps efficiently.

the above is all my opinion and i have no facts to back it up so take it for what it's worth.

now contrary to popular misconception, our ecu does run the i/c pump almost continuously. many people were, and stilll are, of the belief that hard wiring the pump to run continuously is beneficial. because the ecu already runs the pump except upon cold starts, there's no need waste time or money on this project.

member jbfmcar was selling them or k1motorsports. they're both the cheapest i've seen. everyone was on backorder but they may be ready to ship now. keep in mind, asp's new pulleys are 180mm so intake cooling could become a factor.

If i add the cm30 and 180mm pulley and change the head exchanger. Dont change any hoses or any thing just replay the heat exchanger to a larger one like the one code3 sells would that do the trick ?

how much psi does the 180mm pulley give you ?

i don't know the psi on the 180mm pulley. they just came out recently so there's not much info on it. a new h/e will definitely help but data logging is the only way to know for sure if your intake cooling is sufficient.

As it seems, it all depends on where the pulley is measured.
