Kleemann/Cory Feedback

Just had the K1 done on my cls55 (wrong forum, i know, but the 211 forum gets so many more views!) Even better, i got it for half off when they had their holiday sale back in Dec. Just had time to install everything due to a new baby.

Cory is a real stand-up guy. I fedex'ed my ecu to him and had it back two days later. Had a slight hiccup getting the wires connected (totally my fault ), called him up, and he walked me right through it.

Thanks Cory. You/Kleemann are one class act!

haters crazy
Cory has the best customer service I have ever experienced, and that includes non automotive related things. He is very knowledgeable, helpful, honest, nice, and gets back to you quick. I have no problem trusting him with my car

I am thinking about doing Kleeman K1 for my E63. The shop is asking ~1500 plus shipping and taxes, is that reasonable? Also is it really worth the money? What is the your impression of K1?

It may not be a direct apples-apples comparison, because I have the 55K motor, not the N/A 6.2 l, but I can honestly say I feel the car is noticeably quicker.

When I stomp on it from a standstill, it literally feels like the rear tires are about to be ripped off of the wheels (and i'm running 305's on the rear).

No before/after dyno unfortunately...just my "butt-dyno"

I did have the VRP shorty headers installed after having the crank pulley installed. I mentioned that to Cory before sending him my ECU, so I think he may have tweaked the tune slightly for that as well. But really everything came together once i got the tuned ecu in.

All in all, I am VERY satisfied and would do it again in a heartbeat.

I'm pretty sure anything Kleemann sells is top-notch!

Real Cars
+1 here as well, he is a shining beacon of how tuners should present themselves and deal with their customers. Always a pleasure to deal with.

I, too, agree that Cory is a stand-up guy. I have definitely enjoyed my K2 kit, and I can't wait to get the larger throttle body and cams this Spring.

Previously, I'd been using Aristocrat Motors. They did the work on my K1 kit first and then my K2 kit this past fall. Clinton is my service manager over there. Up until recently, nobody in the area was "officially" considered a Kleemann install shop. I just noticed that Mercedes Benz of Kansas City is now on Kleemann's site though, so I've thought about giving them a try. I haven't had any problems or anything with Aristocrat though, so I may continue to work with Clinton. Let me know if you happen to use Mercedes of Kansas City, because I would love to hear feedback on how they are to work with.
