The newer Maserati's are (either belt or chain driven - can't remember which) but they are the OPPOSITE of the newer Ferrari's (one make is belt and one make is chain)....

..... which makes Maintenance costs on the Maserati MUCH MUCH less....
Few people I know have had the Cambiocorsa's/GranSport/even Gran Turismo, driven pretty regularly for a few years and hardly had any repairs at all....

F-cars on the other hand.......

You my friend have seen one of the most insane machines in the world! It's my goal to see an LP640 on the road. Seen an old-style Murci going the other way, and parked, but to hear one going, full bore next to me, omg I would die and go to heaven. Best sounding car in the history of world, imo. Someday, I will get to drive one, I hope. Might be my favorite car. It's just nuts. If I had one, I'd drive in the snow. AWD, why not? Would be the sickest winter ride ever.

03' E55 Techtite Grey
The price is crazy! But I guess if you can afford a Lambo you can afford a 10,000 exhaust system.

The new Maser's have such a sweet sound, and the driving experience is everything that you'll never get with a german car. The closest you will come is with porsche, and they're still only half as fun as an italian car.

Only problem is the effin' maintenance. On the italian stuff, the costs are just insane. They also break constantly. And even if it's not something big, it's still like $10k for a clutch replacement, etc. Such a deal with the devil...
ooohh yeah the driving experience is incredible aleast thats what the guys on ML keep saying. The clutch is only about 4-5k to replace still not bad.....from what i have been reading on ML if you send your clutch to get kelvlar coated it helps with the wear alot.....Italians got to love them
