Oh yeah, one thing I meant to suggest...
Since it's clear now that you're getting your car back, as embarrassing as this is, get a couple people to go with you (witnesses) when you pick it up. Also, bring a hi-res camera and photograph every body panel, as well as the interior, BEFORE you leave the lot. Better safe than sorry, if there's any damage, you want to have it documented otherwise if you leave and then bring it up they'll say it happened after the car left...

You challenging the fact that east and west cost per capita do not spend more on vehicles, namely mercedes? I love a fair argument, I have made the claim do you have evidence to counter the statement?

Whats dumb about it? I didn't say those where the "biggest" auctions, i mentioned they were other big auctions, most exotic cars are sold on the east and west coast, do to population density and adjusted income levels.

I cannot tell you how much I am enjoying your posts!~
I did not make 340k not close in 2008, this was why I posted my "loss" during the 5 months vs. my income. E55 pilot incorrectly calculated my earnings based on what I had to spend to stay afloat during the WGA strike.
Kharma is already working , LOOK the market is up? WOOOOOHOOOOOOOO
You guys all inspired me to do better and not give up. It is worth so much more than the car.

Is there a link to the full story? What happened to the money in the car? I can't help, I have been out of a job since June, I am in a tight spot too. I managed to pay off everything but the car, so I am not so bad. This blows man, sorry to hear it. So you make the payments and get the car back? Couldn't you almost get a free refinance if you buy it back at auction? EDIT: Hold up, I was pages behind, I thought it was 1 page, LOL.

so I faxed in the redemption kit, I really like the idea of a caravan to riverside. I may need backup , people that will verify damage etc. This is just the start of the process. afterward we can all go down to the set of Criminal Minds and pretend we work there, pffft

I think certain people take it to the extreme.
It's easy to live large when times are good. And Josh was doing that, it seems. But nobody expected the economy to hit a wall like it did, in the speed that it did.
I passed up the ability to watch TV on a 100" plasma. I make do with a measly 37" LCD. I passed on a new E55 (before the 63 came out). I shine up my ten year old E430 and hope people don't snicker. Instead I funded my 401k to the max.
What did it get me? Several hundred thousand dollars of vapor. Gone. Zippo. A slip of paper from Fidelity reminding me that a good chunk of 15 years of investing no longer exists.
So in the end, Josh has a CLS at least. I got nuthin'. What lesson do we take from this?
That said, Josh, do you have the total that you need? It is a little unclear where you stand right now with the cash.
And also, I posted some questions in the other thread about Hells' Kitchen. When you have time after this situation is worked out, please clear up the mystery.

You call up and make a reservation. Reservation list is long but friends of mine had no trouble getting a table for 8. You do not pay for food or drinks. Sign a waiver when you get there.

Also, we like Juice and his foolish financial nature
-----------
Ok, so if it goes to auction, buy it back, you are already taking the depreciation hit, as you would if you sold it. In fact, you make out a little bit ahead, because you wouldn't sell it at auction... But could you buy it back? would a bank lend you money, in your current position? Yikes. I am in the same boat with you. Lucky for me, I have everything paid off but the benz. I don't have to sell anything (2 houses, enterprise computers equipment that is worth more than the car...) In June I will have weathered a year
Jcart, what do you do? I have a business idea to talk to you about, you are the ideal investor. (I will explain why a bit later in a PM)
