Performance shop in Central Texas?

I'm the proud new owner of an 05 e55 and am looking for a few goodies. I can do the mechanical stuff on my own, but would love to know of someone or someplace in Austin or San Antonio (or surrounding areas) capable of reprogramming the computer. Any suggestions/experiences? Reccomendations? Car is BONE stock with 34k miles..black black and great-just feels like the boost lets off after a few good pulls.

TIA
Craig

Craig, your car sounds almost identical to mine! Except 2 years newer I just ticked over 36k miles on my 03. I'd also like to know if there's any good perf. shops in austin for the AMG line. I'll be living back there again at the end of the month.

Sounds like you need a new I/C pump...as do I.

Good to see another Texan on the board-if you can find the shop I'll be the guinea pig!

Most likely your intercooler pump is going out. If it's under warranty, tell the dealer about it & have them check it when the car is hot, many times it won't throw a code for them when it's cold (cause it still works).

If not under warranty, it's still pretty cheap to replace with the new bosch unit or a Johnson CM30 or CM90.

I'm In San antonio and interested in a shop as well. Houston or Dallas may be our best bet for good shops

The problem you mention may be the thermostat. I thought I needed a new pump as well, but the dealer (MBBoerne) is replacing the thermostat as we type. I am assuming that it was a correct diagnosis on their part of course.

Keep in touch
