Turns out the magnaflow 3" x pipe wont fit on the car..The pipes are to far apart..I dont know if this is because my car is a 03 or what not. Anyway right now I am having 3" straight pipes welded in..Ill have videos up for you guys tonight..

Hmm so now atleast we know to stay away from the magnaflow x pipe. Can't the shop build you an x pipe?
Also did you figure out what was wrong with your car.

It was just a loose TB sensor or wire dont remember exactly. Easy fix only $100. Anyway I would stay away from the magnaflow 3" on the E55. The way its designed it dosent really fit up there. Anyway im paying $150 for the 3" striaght pipes to be welded in. My car should be done within the hour so ill defiantly have some videos up tonight..

Nice! I would put a quality x pipe in place of the secondary cats and factory H pipe. Not in place of the resonator.

The magnaflow x-pipe can be put in. The exhaust shop I went to down here did it without a problem, but oh well. You're going to want a crossover pipe in the exhaust system somewhere, and something better than the factory h-pipe.

alright guys so I got my car back this afternoon and I am very happy with it. Idle still sounds stock and when revving in neutral its pretty stock sounding but when u get on it the sound is just amazing...its a really deep thumping tone...If I had to compare it to any MB I would say it sounds similar to a stock SL55. Also there is no drone at all. If anything i feel like i picked up a little torque...At this point I am still considering taking out my secondary cats but im not sure yet...Videos will be up soon..Now my question is what will taking out the seconadary cats do to the tone and loudness?

.... remove resonator, remove 2ndary cats, 3" straight pipes... do it I did and I love it (have vrp shorties too tho). If you want an x pipe to balance out sound, then even better, but I didn't.

No, the opposite if anything.... actually had magnaflow exhaust on it already when I bought it used (which is 4 sale in classified section and ebay if anyone is interested... i know, shameless plug ) and whoever did it changed the 2.75" stock pipe to 2.5" from axle back Did it 4 more torque possibly? Don't really know why they did that, but Vadim noticed it right away on my car. So I finally changed it from 2.5" to the 3" from axle back minus mufflers..... the exhaust shop said that I may lose a tiny bit of torque (which I have plenty of anyway) because the mufflers give about 1/2 lb. of back pressure, but because my primary cats were still in (which he said should give me about 1 1/2 lb back pressure), I should be about the same.... If anything, along with the headers, I "feel" (again, very relative) that the car breathes much better, kicks down much easier and feels more responsive all over..... and those are not stock tips..... they are aftermarket.
