Back to the E55 family!
Hey guys,
I last owned an AMG car about three years ago with a 2001 E55, and have owned a bunch of different exotics since then, and all I can say is, WOW, I am glad to be back. I bought a 2005 E55 white, with black interior, pano, keyless go, nav, ventillated seats, xenons, and trunk closer. What a blast. I drove the car back from North Carolina the other day, and it was so much fun to drive.......besides the speeding ticket in NC.
So, today I am having the windows retinted, since they were a little faded and I am having the entire windshield done.
Then, I am having the taillights tinted, front grille painted matte black, shaving the badges, and adding a carbon front lip, and lower rear valance.
I am hoping within two weeks it will then go into the shop for the performance work. LET Tune, pully, 80mm TB, intake manifold, Kleenman headers, downpipes, cat delete, x pipe, phelonic spacers, and Johnson pump.
Keep you guys up to date with my build throughout the next few months.
Taking it to the track tomorrow night to get a baseline. I have never been to the track before!!!

Welcome back-- looks great! I have to say, I have owned a lot of cars and the E55 stopped my wife from saying "you are not going to buy ANOTHER car or you..." every six months! I am only tempted by the C63 but, I need the space for the kiddie in back and the C is a little small. That and the plastic eeyy interior is just no good. Hmm, I sound like my father!!!

I had a highly moddified Porsche 996TT, which I then sold for a Gallardo. The TT was so much more fun and engaging than the Gallardo. I still regret selling the TT. Amd, I think thats why I am so excited about modding the 55, because of the performance potential above and beyond how amazing it is in stock form.

It's a great car, luxury with performance, a real sleeper to most people.
