OT: Is it your New Year today?
If so, Happy New Year. I wish you all strength and joy. this past year has made me take a step back and appreciate some of the smaller things. Not just the economy, but health as well.

Apologizing in advance for my cultural ignorance, but how many New Year's are there? I'm aware of Western civilization's New Year's (1/1), and Chinese New Year (varying, late Jan to mid Feb). Wasn't aware of any others... what culture celebrates New Year's today?
