E55 LOVE
Not sure if there is a nOOb section, just thought I'd introduce myself.
The name is Angel I live in IL and I'm 38 years of age. I've worked for the USPS for 20 years and I've loved speed all my life. I currently own a modified 2001 Mustang GT and an 2006 Hyundai Sonata. I AM VERY much in love with the E55 AMG and I am here to learn about them.

Welcome to the forum. The E55 is a great car; once you drive it, you won't want to leave it..... By the way, you couldn't have picked a better time to buy one, as prices have dropped like crazy, and will probably continue to drop in the next few months. It's definitely a buyer's market right now

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, but just to clarify I have not bought one YET. I've been looking at an alabaster white one. Seen a couple in my area with 50K mi for about $25k.
Questions though, what model year did they start putting the battery in the trunk?
Also is one model year better than another?
Thanks

there are very cheap now and you can buy an extended warranty and have no worries.
dealers are usually very mod friendly.
The car is not perfect.. but the E class is much better than a C class. I know from experience.
Don't worry about exhaust or intakes.. go for the pulley and tuning and larger heat exchanger.
