I am looking at a 2004 e55 and a 2005 e55...was there a difference between model years?

The 2004 has 19000 miles on it and the 2005 36000.

Interior Differences..........

Newer models had aluminum/rubber studded pedals & sliding center console cupholders......

Cup holders in the 2003-2004 are horrible. They're complete garbage and are the source of interior rattles. If that's important to you.

Assuming the '05 is a late enough build, steering rack changed for the better from prior

They all come with two batteries... primary in the trunk and starter/accessory battery under the hood.

I wish the 2005 didnt have 15,000 more miles than the 2004.

Also the 2005 is certified used the 2004 is not.

Get the 2005. The 100K miles warranty should be your deciding factor. Owning A W211 E55 AMG, out of warranty, is not for the feint of heart.

Get the 2005.

Ummm I would say a 2005 is definitely a better bet, as I strongly prefer the sliding cupholders as well as look of pedals......

Look at the build dates of the two to tell what options are different.

Is the '04 at a dealer? If so, ask why it is NOT CPO. They CPO the good ones. That means you get extended warranty and that it was able to be certified. If it was wrecked or had any issues, then they can not certify. If all that is just coincidence, then again look into features

The pedals are 80 bucks, I will always go for the car with low miles.
