Adding the TCU flash to the mod list??

Hey guys,

I am starting the mod process this weekend, and my tuner just asked me if I wanted to add the Kleemann TCU flash to the list. Currently I am doing Kleemann headers, secondary cat delete, x-pipe, LET ecu tune, pulley, air filters, and johnson pump, along with upgraded plugs and wires.

My question is, what benefit will I get out of the TCU upgrade? Any more power? I don't even know the cost yet, but if its a worthwhile addition, I will do it.

Thanks,

I have had the Kleemann TCU for years and loved it. It does not add anything but more punchy shifts. Car shifts very harsh as Victor or anyone that has been in my car can attest to. Keep in mind this was years before we knew that we could remove torque limiters from the tranny with TCU. My tranny shifted nice and hard and all was great.

VRP TCU tune however totally removes (or as much as you want) the torque limiters on your tranny.

Sounds like fun to have them all off and party on, but guaranteed you will shorten your tranny life with them all off. In some cases quite quickly as Victor will tell you straight up.
