Is there any reason I shouldn't get a 2006?

I REALLY wanted every option... but it's hard to find one in my budget ($35,000) used.

Although I wish it had the panoramic sunroof.

Fingertip manual mode... what is this? Paddle shifters?

Does the car play DVD movies? If not, is it possible to get it to?

Does the car come with Sirius?

Looks like a good price with reasonable miles (32K).

It has Dynamic seats, vented seats, power rear sunshade. No Parktronic (nice to have), or distronic (rare to have), or keyless go (some like it, some don't), Pano roof (some like it and some don't). Hopefully it has the lighting package and the auto trunk closer.

Fingertip manual mode are shift buttons on the back of the wheel...sorry but no paddles until '07 on the E63.

No Sirius that I'm aware of and it requires a mod to play DVD's.

The '06 is a great year as it is the last and not as many were produced to boot so they are a bit more "rare".

BTW, according to your signature, you already drive an '06.

Pano roof is really neat, however it makes alot of noise at lower speeds (parkinglot). I like it, but would rather have a tight car with no sounds from the roof. Keyless go is now mandatory on my cars. It is fantastic.
Buy it either way and you will not regret it.

Looks like a good deal, I paid $41K for my '06 with similar mileage and no keyless go 6 months ago. Only regret being I wish I would have held out for a white one, instead of getting black, too damn hard to keep clean. You can change that grill for about bucks.

I have shift buttons on the back of the steering wheel on my 06 E55.

I think he meant paddle shifters, as in the 2007 and newer e63's come with. All e55s came with button shifters...

My 05 has Sirius from the factory, but I have the Nav.

I wouldn't personally buy one without keyless go....

I called the guy, he told me it has the keyless go.

From his email:
Kenny, the E55 does not have Sat radio but it is a module that is

Looks like a good deal to me... the park distance seems like a cool feature though...

Can someone link me to the Sat radio module? It's mandatory I have it...

Expand your search horizon to include more years as there are plenty of cars out there. All years are good (in my opinion), '05 cars got an updated suspension shared with the CLS but the updated center console in the US cars leaves much to be desired, many '03 cars have posted unusually strong dyno numbers but generally didn't have nav (MB nav is junk so I'm not sure this is a real issue), and '04 cars are simply good cars. Can't go wrong with any of them as long as they have the options, miles, and color combo that you want.

I don't think that's the greatest deal out there. If you search carefully and is patient enough, you should be able to get a similar car in the low 30s.

I NEED a warranty, so that's why I want 05/06... can I purchase an extended warranty if it's still IN warranty?

Yes, you can purchase an extended warranty if it is still in warranty. Also, their are plenty of CPOed cars with 7 year warranties on them.
