The first stage of three stages of modifications (2nd Audio/Visual and 3rd Engine) has begun...we are going with a satin black theme...! As always, the tuning house is C2Design (Tampa, Fl)...Chris (owner) and Andrew (the wrench) are thorough, meticulous, and very customer service oriented.

These are basically tear down pics...

The front bumper: New 3 slat grill (not shown) will be repainted with combination satin black/gloss black. The fogs will have HID conversion.

The side "gills" sans grill and "wings"...all trim including hood gills, door handles trim, badging will be satin black.

Da trim...

The headlights torn apart gettting ready for paint...we are also switching the the amber turn signal bulb to a chrome turn signal bulb.

On the lift...they had to take the mufflers off and are taking the wheels off for the calipers to be painted viper red with black AMG logo.

The mufflers/exhaust tips are gone!!! The tips are getting painted satin black and the mufflers are ??? That is a surprise.


PS...Got the new DTM steering wheel in today and that will be installed also. The Kleeman ELM will also be installed at this time.

That's one thing I like about going there...it is spotless. There are some shops in the industrial park where his shop is located and it's like going into a war zone.

They sure do...Chris was tempting me with a guy who was selling his 2003 modded GT2 with only 3000 miles on the clock for pure terror. I mentioned to him I wanted to start to learn how to really drive, so we were talking track cars and I mentioned the GT3, but he said he preferred the CLK63. If I went with the RS version, then he would lean towards the GT3.

I also saw the M3's, esp the SMG's and Z3 coupe (they are putting a Z06 engine into that one) and those might be really affordable options to start off at...
