1.5 mile Speed Event - Loring, Maine

I came across this event. The only problem is that they are using the ECTA (East Coast Timing Assoc) rules. This requires a full roll cage to go above 150mph (or you need a special exemption 1 month before the event).

It is kind of ridiculous if you ask me... a motorcycle obviously doesn't have/need a roll cage...but a car needs one???![crazy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/crazy.gif)
If they can give a special exemption I would love to do this event. I think the extra 2,640 ft of space could make a difference in hitting the magical 200mph barrier.
