Now that would be a feat... I know CPT has had some nitrous 55s dyno there well into the 500 range... but without spray, that would be tough. Aleks is probably on the right track. Long tubes would maybe do another 10rwhp over the HEMs. Cams another 10rwhp. You'd still be 15rwhp short though, conservatively speaking. That would be tough man, but if you got there you'd have an absolute monster on your hands.Originally Posted by rberga1

I am very tempted to do those HEMs myself now. SaMaS picked up a solid 10-12rwhp on this 210 E55 with them, and you clearly are picking up power with them as well. I know people are skeptical about them, but they look pretty promising to me.

Yeah no spray for me...I think I'll be ordering Vadim's midsection pipe with high flow cats and that'll be it with the engine mods. I just hope there is no resonance and it isn't too loud in the cabin. I recently installed long tube headers and catback exhaust on my mini cooper s and the resonance was very annoying. I have since removed the headers but still running the catback.
I didn't notice too much after installing the HEMs, however after installing the 80mm TB, my butt dyno definitely noticed the improvement.

Finally had a chance to pull the video off my camera and will be posting tonight
I figured out why my Air/Fuel dove off the scale *(10.0) right away... A bad MAF sensor!!
I am replacing that today and will be redynoing this weekend...

Hey guys...I know this is an off-topic question but I was wondering if any of you in the Chicago area know of a reputable exhaust shop that can do a resonator delete and possible muffler gut? What are your thoughts on doing these two modifications? Would you only recommend the resonator delete and not the muffler gut?
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!

Thanks SaMaS!!! Milwaukee isn't the best place for modding these types of cars. I would rather drive to Illinois to have the work done properly instead of letting some chuckle-head experiment on my car.
While at CPT, I can also get some baseline dyno numbers before I begin my modding!

CPT welded and fabbed SaMaS's whole system except for the headers (VRP) and the muffler (Eisenmann).Originally Posted by mdre55amg

They deleted the mufflers on my SL65, and did a lot of fab work to get my Kleemann mufflers to fit. Check my threads for more pictures.

They did my resonator delete too! Fantastic work, and the welds are drool worthy.
