How to make CL600 throttle body work on my CL55?

Just bought a 2004 CL600 throttle body for my 2003 CL55. It is 80mm. (or might be 82, not sure, but I think it is 80mm at least. PT# 275 141 0625). I know some wires have to be switched in order to make it work, just wondering which ones? And what else needs to be done, besides getting the S/C inlet 80mm and 80mm Y-Pipe with tubes gaskets. Thanks in advance.

haters crazy
600 is the "80mm" which in reality is a 78mm. I'm sure someone will chime in with what needs to be done. All I remember is switching pins 1 and 4 but I'm not sure if that applies in your case

Yeah, I think it is the 80mm OD (78mm ID). The guy measured it for me and said it was 80mm. Will get it in a couple of days so I'll know for sure. I remember having to switch like two wires (or pins).... actually for the AMG 2007 SL55 throttle body #113 141 05 25, people have posted that in order to make it work they swapped pins 1-4 and 5-6, that's it.... just not sure if it is the same with the CL600 80mm (78mm) throttle body (275 141 0625) that I'm getting.

...also I think (after doing some research on here) that before the 2007 sl55 AMG 80mm TB - 113 141 05 25 became available, they were (at least i think kleemann was) using the TT V12 throttle bodies (in the 600s or 65s, I think they are the same) as the 80mm (78mm) throttle body for our cars. Just not sure if the pin swap in the 600 throttle body I'm getting (275 141 0625) is the same as in the 2007 sl55 throttle body (113 141 05 25) which I believe is 1-4 and 5-6.....or even if the pins have to be swapped? or swapped differently? So if anybody knows (or might have any idea) I'd appreciate it.

damn..... am thinking I may need to have a CNC adapter made to mate the 80mm S/C inlet to the throttle body.... like in this pic. Any input? Best to wait and see when I get it. Looks like the holes are a bit different..... also found some interesting info on pg#2 of this old thread, too bad the pictures aren't coming up tho: https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...le-body-2.html

The correct SC inlet is # 113 140 09 12. The 80mm TB will bolt up to this perfectly. And yes, you do have to switch wires 1&4 , 5&6.

I don't think mine will bolt up perfectly.... the 113 141 05 25 will bolt up to the SC inlet # 113 140 09 12, but not the tb off of the v12 tt.... thus the adapter plate on the kleemann kits. Don't think it'll cost $1500 to make an adapter plate tho, so I still think I'll be ok.

Just got the part and guess what?!?!? IT'S 82MM(ID) ABOUT 85MM(OD)!!! Can I bore out the 80mm S/C inlet to 82mm? Also, the 80mm y-pipes.... can those be stretched or shaven for the extra 2mm? Or is there a different y pipe I could use (how bout the CL600 y pipe, or is it a different design and won't fit?)

Just had a look at mine and there seems to be enough meat on the Y pipe's inner wall for a 2mm shave.Or is there a different y pipe I could use (how bout the CL600 y pipe, or is it a different design and won't fit?) I dont think there is, but dont quote me on this
Thanks for sharing your findings. Hope my input proves usefull to you.

Just had a chance to look a lot closer at it..... Yeah... I quoted myself..... FYI, I'm using less than stellar or accurate measuring here (bout 3 different rulers), so let me be absolutely sure before I'm positive it's 82mm..... it appears to be bigger than 78mm, but not certain.... hard to differentiate between a couple of mm.... still might be the "80mm" version...... but definitely, definitely not 74mm....
