Starting to get hot...CM30 or CM90
Are there any disadvantages to going with a CM90 pump over the CM30? I would assume that the more you can flow, the better you can cool...now it may not be as efficient compared to the CM30, but it should still cool better. So my question is wether there is any disadvantage to going with the larger CM90 pump?
Also, where is a good place to order a -10 thermostat? I just want to get some basic cooling mods done to the car before the summer heat approaches on Houston, already in the 80's.

CM30 with stock or aftermarket h/e
CM90 if you are running a split cooling circuit.
CM90 is a lot bigger than the oem pump so mounting it can be an issue.
I may buy a obdii scanner. Maybe we can compare the differences in IAT

I still feel bad for standing you up at the Texas Mile so I'm definatly down for that, I live in Katy so it not that far for me to go out to seally, After reading a few of Lane change's (Scott) posts we have a few things in common our Name for starters, mine is Scott also, I have also built and raced some nice rotors back when I lived in Australia, and then there the E55 thing,

Hmm...that's cool. I am actually building a house in Katy right now, so I will be living that way this summer. Currently I live down in Pearland. I might be able to meet up this weekend, the weather is supposed to be kind of crap though, so I'm not sure if the track deal will be worth the trip. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.
I am game for a meet anytime though. This is way off topic for my thread, but I read a bunch of **** after I started this thread, so I think I will just stick with the CM30, since I am not looking forward to rigging the CM90 to work and fit, etc...
Also seems that PTE is the place for the -10c thermostat. Now I just need to order these pieces, and take my car in and get the fans turned on sooner and probably have it lowered while I am there.
Doesn't seem that I will have much luck selling the car right now, so I might as well get started on modding her. Cooling first, then I will get the pulley, tune, and will probably go with a co2 chiller system for my intercooler to drop my temps. I don't like the small ones that people run though, seems pointless. I want to get multiple passes out it, so I will go for a big bottle system.
Any of you guys up for a meet at Fox and Hound off of Westheimer one night?

I have a "Jabsco Water Puppy" pump. I got it at a boat shop. Come with a no questions asked warranty. Its shaft driven and has a flexible impeller. It flows like a SOB. Cool my supercharger down fast. It can be mounted anywhere and in any position. It has my thumps up.
I would maybe think about making your I/C system totally independent and a stand alone unit. works very well in my situation.
Down side: The pump is a bit noisy, but if it does out you will know it right away.

CM30 should be considered if the object is staying cool for under 12 seconds. There is some anecdotal evidence that the CM30 (less flow rate) may actually perform better than the CM90 at the drag strip. The rolling theory is that the CM30 is slow enough to NOT cycle the heated fluid back into the cool fluid before the run is done. I don't personally buy into that since the time from heating the tires to the run has to be long enough to cycle the fluid. Maybe not..
Other than for drag racing, I would seriously consider a CM90 or other high flow brand. I like the davies series of pumps because they are made for automotive applications and fluids, whereas marine ones are designed to pump salt water.

lets all decide a place and time
here is my suggestion
Place - Otto's burgers (The Fountains in Stafford)
Time - 06:30 pm 04/18/2009
There is usually a muscle car meet there every saturdays.
