I went to Sacramento last weekend. The only late model street car that was running quicker times than me was a supercharged SRT8 300C. He said when he runs nitrous he has over 660whp. He was trapping around 126mph! I was still pretty impressed that my car trapped 120.9mph with just tune/gas/tires/3500lbs. Stock exhaust, cats, turbos, airbox, intercooler, etc. I will say the 300C was so loud I couldn't even hear the engine on my quiet little 335i. He probably didn't get 27mpg on the way to the track either, LOL. I guess its what one would expect from a 6.1L with FI vs a 3.0L FI. Still my 11.783 wasn't bad for no warm up burnout whatsoever and no limited slip. I think with warm tires and a 1.65 60' time, I could possibly be in the 11.5x ET range.
The 4.4L V8 TT is already putting out 555HP in the SAV X6/X5 M versions.
BMW already makes NA engines that sweep the international engine of the year awards. Using their same technology and putting on turbos makes them that much more powerful. We are talking about some serious design innovation. Just look at this engine. And this isn't even an all out M car. Imagine what the M5 might put out. And the Audi V10 only puts out about 25hp more than the BMW SAVs?
http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3469
And yes, my 335i trapped over 120 mph with just tune/tires/fuel/3500lbs.
11.783 ET with no burn out or limited slip.
My mods could all be done in less than 1hr to any 335i!
And talking about 135i BMWs, how about this?:
There is a 135i BMW that just ran in the 11's with stock Run Flats, Airbox, Rear Exhaust, intercooler, etc. Just a midpipe and intake scoops (which do nothing at all). He was trapping over 119mph also. And now for the clincher, he did all his runs launching in 2nd gear! (because of the poor traction of the stock tires)

I can't believe you think were going to believe you can run the LOWEST ET's on Dragtimes w/HIGHEST TRAP's with a 335i that's only running tune/tires/fuel you wont even admit to using aftermarket Air-filtersvs. these other SLOWER 335i's below that have multiple (5+) integral mods listed below

Ohhh SNAP!
335's can be quick little cars. It's amusing how many of the owners claim they are stock with "just a tune" A tune gives these cars 80+whp depending on the tuner and gobs of tq. That's like someone here saying all I have is a 180mm pulley and race gas tune. But that's it!
All you can really do to the n54 currently is a tune, catless down pipes, and exhaust anyways. Intercooler and intake will help a little.
I'm almost positive the fastest guys on dragtimes all run race gas maps, drag radials, some with no air filter, and possible weight reduction.

Sean,
Warren would have no reason to lie, actually he would be called out much more passionately by his own BMW community. Terry would be the first to come on here and shoot down his claims if they were not factual.
I am suprised by the trap but it had to have come on a great weather day and at sea level. I realize it is hard to believe when compared to the other cars but Terry has always tuned this platform to the edge. Warren likely just boosted the crap outta those small turbos, that spin off the line helped spool power and likely helped achieve a high trap on a crappy 60ft for the car

& Hotrod's still faster? W/just tune/fuel/tires he doesn't even mention his 17" light weight Drag Wheels except on Dragtimes...You forget I've run a J3 reg map/race map 335i w/more mods NO way is it running 119-120+ Trap's..
PS...Turbo cars don't react to excellent DA as much as N/A vehicles...
How bout straight from the horses mouth IE Terry Burgers JuiceBox website they just ran the LIGHTER 135i w/LATEST MAP, + ALL THESE EXTRA MODS & guess what??? that's right 120MPH Trap @ 11.80!

Looking for maximum horsepower for your 135i or 335i? Our 135i made 440rwhp / 426rwtq using the JB3 with a race gas map, Riss Racing downpipes, Riss Racing catback, Code3 intercooler, and the BMS dual cone intake. Staggering 175hp gains at the wheels, or almost 225hp at the crank! This map powered our 135i to 1/4 mile times of 11.8 and trap speeds of over 120mph! The worlds fastest N54!

They have called him out! go read E90 forum, also go look @ the top 20 fastest 335i models on Dragtimes they ALL have upgraded Intercoolers (to handle the extra boost, no way you can just crank up the boost w/out upgrading cooling) LSD's/ Down Pipes/CAI/Cat-back/Clutch/Torq Conv: UUC ceramic/Drag wheels etc..

He scanned his slip @ dragtimes, looks fine.
For some odd reason the top spot 119 trap does not have a timeslip?
I was with Terry the day Warren was picking up his car and TB did say this would be the fastest 335 in the USA, looks like Warren captured the top spot.
can you cut and paste the call out on E90?

Sean he ran those times in his 335, nobody is calling him out really, just high fives.
I just read more than I care to , lol. Right now Warren is #1 in his 335.
He did have the light battery and seat removed as well as the race map and the super light wheels. The map alone is worth a ton , but thats the great part about TT, I think the ECU tune on yer 600 will also add significant gains over stock?

Juicee you obviously know nothing about tuning Twin Turbo vehicles, they need the Intercooler upgrade to deal w/EXTRA BOOST & Down Pipes/larger Cat-back/CAI scoops/filters to make the extra HP/TQ (Down Pipes coupled w/larger cat-back tubing help Turbo cars immensly, what do you think the VRP825 kit consists of??? mainly: Upgraded Intercoolers/Down Pipes/larger Cat-back/CAI etc..
Hotrod182 doesn't mention nor list any of these EXTRA weight saving mods when discussing his 11.78 ET 120+Trap here on our forum,
light battery and seat removed as and the super light wheels.

Hmmm not quite sure yet. But, something doesn't smell right... Here is my hypothesis.
BTW I'm still giving props. Because 11.7 is strong for any kind of car. Let's just make sure we are clear on what it actually took to get there.
17-20 psi JB3R race gas tune? YES
Ultra light weight race wheels? YES
Drag radials? YES
Lighter front wheels? Maybe
No air filter or some form of Intake? YES
Catless downpipes? Maybe
Exhaust mods? Maybe
Intercooler? Perhaps
Aftermarket diverter valves? Possibly
Weight reduction, such as lightweight battery, no passenger seat, no rear seats? Most likely in some form.

Oh gotcha Sean,
You believe he ran the time and trap and are a wee bit upset by the way he presented it as only a tune, fuel , and wheels.
I think Warren is simply trying to emphasize he dooes not think the down pipes and cat back do anything.
I ran his old 335 in similar 300-500 DA and he was doing exactly what my car was doing that day 12.1@116. This was running the light wheels and a tune and race fuel. (seat was in).
So now he has a new car and is running more BOOST later in the run which has allowed him to raise his trap 1.5-3mph. Plus the new car is obviously lighter.
Warren is a real cool dude, a scientist at the track, he always helps out and he likely did not intend to mis lead. I suppose it would be better to say this
"hey guys I just ran a 11.78@120 in my heavily modded 335"
Maybe you should PM Warren and see what his little 335 could do vs your TT?

Oh gotcha Sean,

I Emailed Terry Burger, he filled in the blanks a bit better: Using a special tune I made for him. He has 105 octane race fuel tune, racing rims and tires (frnt/rear), and removed his seats for those runs. (Excluding Drivers seat)From Terry Burger...
So obviously running a Special Map in Beta testing (Not yet available to rest of public) & removing nearly entire interior, plus running very lightweight racing wheels frnt/rear, is quite a bit different than Just Tune/Gas/Tires
If those weight savings alone would've been noted I'd never said a word (I know how beneficial they can be URnext's SL55 only removed pass seat & ran 2+mph faster than any SL to that date etc)
