Ghost in the machine

So I'm listening to the radio the other day.....I get to where I'm going and hit the power button to turn the radio off. It stays on. I turn the car off...the radio stays on. I take the key out...the radio stays on! I get out of the car and walk away...the radio is still on!!

I stood staring at the car for a while, and the radio music slowly and gradually transforms to a white noise sound and then cuts off after about two minutes.

This is second time it has happened, the last time being about three months ago. I drive it every day and play the radio every day.

Do I have a ghost?

BTW, where I live I also have numerous electrical problems in my house. I have an 5-8v reading (varies from day to day)on ALL of my switched outlets in the house, but not on the normal outlets. A licensed electrician could not figure it out after several hours of sytematically disconnecting every single electrical appliance in the house until it was as bare as a new contruction. He also called his home office and they couldn't figure it out. He said he had never seen anything like it in 20yrs as an electrician. In the end he said don't worry about it, it won't hurt anything. Also, in the evening my remotes controls don't work. Between ~8-12midnight, nothing. from ~midnight on...perfect..can bounce the signals off the walls and ceiling. Oh yeah, cable box, stereo, tv, all randomly turn off every once in a while, and at least daily. Its kind of freaking me out now. It was a new house when I moved in two years ago. Any indian burial grounds here in Daytona?

My friend....you are SCREWED! I suggest you get an exorcist over there ASAP.

I can't help you with your car but I may be able to help with the house. Please PM my your email address and copy the text with the description of your problem into the PM and lets set up a time to talk on the phone as I have lots of experience with difficult issues like yours. I already have some ideas and things for you to check that probably haven't been done before.

Not Indian burial grounds... but more of mass graves of drug war victims - the restless souls.

Holy *****, that would scare me, I think the E55 is trying to tell you not to get out. It's like the house and the car are connected, lol. I'm not one of those guys that believes in all that weird ghost stuff, but, man, that is some freaky stuff, especially given the times at which it happens. If that happened to me I would frankly **** my pants, haha.

Yeah, it freaks me too. There have been some days when I walk upstairs in the morning and the voltage is just high enough to light incandescent floor lamps to a very low glow, and the wall switches are off!

BTW, my dog is getting strange sores that the vet can't figure out. He draws a sample and says its a "pink goo" but not an infection. My wife poked one and it burst open all over her.

Oh did I mention that sometimes when I leave the house to go to work in the morning and the front of my house and my car is covered with literally HUNDREDS of frogs. I have to watch where I step and carefully pull off the big ones so I can get moving and see through the windshield. I watch them fly off one by one as I get up to speed. Poor little *******s.

Reading this thread over again, I'm freaking myself out again.

Are you making this stuff up? Geez man, I'd be looking for a new house real quick, that's for sure. You must have some *****, haha. For real, that stuff with the lights is crazy, maybe there are some kind of strong EM waves by you, get someone out there with a reader that can see EMR, and stay safe, lol. Maybe when Mercedes said there was a beast inside, they were being literal. Those red eyes are just a warning, haha.

You guys are such great help. Thanks

I won't mention the spot in the backyard where no grass will grow. Fertilzer? Lime? Grass seed? Nope nope nope. Just dead, and been that way since I moved in.

Sometimes I wake up at night and my dog is staring at me, panting. No joke. Freaks me out.

Anyway, does anyone know what's going on my radio?

If you are totally serious about all the things happening:

What is your geographic location? What I mean is that are you on a hill, near water? near a power (sub) station? High power lines near the property? Do you know how deep you'd have to go before you hit the water table?

In FL, most power lines are elevated not underground. Problems like what you describe can sometimes caused by the landscape. Where under ground terrain forms a sort of geo-electromatic energy pocket (to simplify a bit) act like a very large capacitor and discharging energy to above ground surfaces.

Does your dog stay outside close to the ground for long periods of time? Maybe out in the yard during the day? ( remember dogs don't wear shoes and are not insulated from the ground)

Look up Nikola Tesla http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikola_Tesla

One of his theory was that energy could be tapped directly from the earth it self.

Okay on the radio thing, I've had it act strange several times on me.

Most of the time, mine either fades into the static sound etc and I just pull over, restart (with door open and closed before) and she is fine.

If it keeps happening, you may wanna try a battery disconnect, but don't forget you have to go through all the procedures afterward. Mainly turning the steering wheel stop to stop a few times after you start. It resets ESP for ya. If you don't do that it throws codes.

While not super common, it's been reporting many times over the years and it's just a little messed up part of the programming. Nothing to worry bout.

Flat ground, wetland. HIgh power lines about a mile away. My neighborhood is new within last 4 years so all power is underground. Dog is indoors most of the day.

They say Tesla was crazy....and a genius. Seems through history both go together.

Previous owner's wife did not like the E55. She didn't think it was comfortable, so they bought an SL600.

I won't worry until Jakpro's nav display comes up my screen.

If a crack is opening up in my kitchen floor and steam coming out, is that bad? (now I'm joking)
