It'll have to grow on me quite a bit to consider one. The styling isn't doing it at all for me. If I want Lexus styling I'll buy a Lexus.

The quality of the new W212 is suspect, in this economic climate every thing is suffering no way can MB/AMG put out better quality at this time, than what it produced even a year ago. To compound the problem it is first year production. And last but not least, and this is the deal breaker, no forced induction.

Not me. I was thinking about it at first but the more I look at it, the more disappointed I become.

MB seems to have spent so much time redesigning the S class, C class, etc. But with the E, it doesn't seem that they made much of an effort at all...

That's a little unfair... The E63 W212 looks MUCH better than a non-AMG version.

Not a chance. Way too many other cars I would rather have for the money. I would just save the money with the new one and go get a Hyundai or Camry and dump in a 400HP motor in one of those and save yourself 50K

I can't get into the styling at all. It's not close to an S class and looks too much like a Hyundai. For the money or even less I would look elsewhere. When the car actually hits the showroom floor I will take a look and see if my taste changes but till then...........

I agree... I want to see the car in person but at this point the styling is too familiar. I can't justify $100K for the E63.

I will likely not purchase another AMG E-Class.

i tend to buy 2 year old preowned cars.. therefore by then the W212 should have turbos.. another reason not to buy one.

I think my next car will be a used CTS-V and wait until the new 5 series with the 4.4 TT v8.

I dont think I will buying another AMG unless it has turbos.

I love the overall refinement and power of the E63, but deep down inside, I still crave the carnal feel of the road and taking curves and corners faster than I should.

If I am lucky enough, I would love for the E63 replacement to be a 997 C4S. I have found that I am most exhilirated by testing a car's and my own ability by the latter mentioned above.

better off keeping the 211 and picking up something new - i am anxious to see the new S4 with SC'd 3.0 V6 - and in an AWD sport wagon and get LSD for a $1000 upgrade. Imagine with MTM, APR, AWE, and GIAC will do with it!

That reg E has the AMG sport pack, same as new E63 minus the quad USB-port exhaust

Agree w/ some of the above comments; that said, I like the w212 E63 styling overall quite a bit.

I presume most realize that the w211 looks a helluva lot like a Kia Amanti... point is, unless the manufacturer does something extremely radical from a styling perspective, you're always going to be able to draw similarities to other makes/models. My $0.02 I suppose.
