It may not be a salvage title. The biggest factor is the it's out warranty and mileage. Normal E63's are in the high 40k range, take those 2 factors into consideration and I think that the price is fair. You will start to see a lot E63 in the 30k range when the new model comes out and the old comes out of warranty.

I don't think the price is abnormal for that amount of mileage on the car. A similar E55 with 70k to 75k is in the low to mid $20k. AMGs just depreciate like crazy. Look at 2006 SL65 or CL65: either car was close to $200k brand new and now the SL65 can be had for $58k and CL65 for $48k That's why it's always a good idea to wait a year or two before buying an AMG...... let someone else take the depreciation hit

nice deal, these cars are def feeling the economy right now.theres a 08 m3 loaded with 4500miles selling for 45k on m3forums,the guy lost over 20k in less than 4 months of ownership.

The best time to buy a W211 E55/E63 is about six months after the release of the new W212 E63. I may be able to pick a high mileage E55 for $15k and make it a project car

Anyway...
I think this might be the start of the hit from "previous=generation-itis", it will only continue. Especially considering that the new one is an all new car, not just an engine swap like last time, and we all know how much the 55k dropped.

Yeah, like a hole in the head. After he went on and on about the M156 in that Zonda thread, I thought I was gonna have a heart attack.

Not that anyone really cared but that, along with the general content in his posts, drive me friggin' insane. But he says he's had a fleet of cars starting at the age of 16....He's a very opinionated fella. LOL!
well thanks for the offer, LZH maybe I will take you up on it,,
but to be honest I know the truth,, and dont have to prove anything,,
my neighbors are literally BIllionaires and famous people who I wont
mention and out,, and I have lived in BH and BEL AIR all my life,
not that it matters, cause money is not everything, but when idiots comment that I dont know cars when I have been involved with them for
23 years and raced and tested countless cars, and
that I dont have money,, which is laughable, it just proves
what idiots and assumers there are on the forums..somtimes
I had a 1968 Original SHelby GT mustang 500 KR convertible frame up restore in black with white top when I was 16 lol, and used to race it around WIllow Springs..
also had a 944 TURBO BILSTEIN CUP race car, with 300 hp and custom racing suspension when I was 18 and used to track that car as well.. before doing testing for prototypes for car companies so...
since then I have owned 4 mercedes, a Corvette, and a few others etc etc
what I know about smart people and wealthy people is that often the smartest and the wealthiest dont have to prove anything,, they are confident..as I am
and there are always haters out there and loudmouths that think they know it all, and know think they know a person,, when they dont have a clue, as in a few people on this thread
I do think its sad when some people feel threatned by someone who just trying to post helpful info, and is obviously knowledgable, they make the mistake of feeling
threatned and somehow how to get in a pissing contest.. I knew guys like that in High school, most are now total losers, now, 2 are dead, and one is homeless lol
so that is what it is
I pretty much done with this thread, though, and some of the people in it..expeically since the moderator seems to take their side all the time.. so
I will ignore the haters,, some though seem to be nicer though like you,,
so advice was taken and given and thanks,, and have a good weekend
