@#%@^!&*#)~! Seatbelt Chime!
As a traveling consultant I spend 1000 miles a week in the lovely interior of my 05 e55. Only problem is that I typically have a briefcase and/or a laptop computer open in the passenger seat. It's heavy enough that the seatbelt chime seems to never stop, and of course the light always stays on.
HOW can I disable it? I'd love to turn it off for both seats, but if that isn't an option just doing a passenger seat disable would be a blessing. I've even toyed with the idea of disconnecting whatever sensor picks up the weight in the seat

why don't you plug in the seat belt brining it from behind the seat.
to disable this chime, it can be done only by STAR. which you need to make the dealer do it, or any one you know who has this program.

I'll trade ya ecu's!
Seriously would love to make it go away-who is the master of the STAR/SDS around here?
I have access to the system, but it is definitely not a user friendly interface...plz help!
I'd rather not leave the belt fastened, as I've experienced "memory" in the belt position...as in it doesn't wanna go back where it belongs!

There are huge legal ramifications with moving the target. they can recalibrate, but if your case is heavy, then the sensor will set off.
If you do not care about the light in the dash, the beep can be turned off by STAR, but it will kill all beeps (not that I care). Also, it will still have the light to deal with.
