Hey Oxygen, screen shots that you have up are not for the adaptive shift of the trans. Those values are for tcu adaptations to compensate for clutch wear, solenoid actuation speed etc.
High fill and response times indicate worn trans components, but has nothing to do with driving adaptations.

Am I showing high fill and response times?

Out Of Control!!
Do you guys really feel a difference when resetting adaptations? I have never reset mine (besides when battery died or I changed battery). Maybe it's worth a shot I have an older model though
Nice detective work fellas

I have tried resetting "Key Gas Pedal" method and I didn't feel a difference. Only time I felt a diference was when I took my car to the dealer and they reflashed the tranny software. I'm not doubting you "Masters" but is there actual proof that you can reset it with the "Key Gas Pedal" way?
Thanks
Thanks

I've done the sneaky ECU reset and it makes a noticeable difference with my car. I haven't yet used DAS to reset the adaptations but will give that a shot before my next time out.

Unreal sometimes how doggy this software from hell sets up our cars...
Worth a shot for sure. Non AMG guys have reported quite a difference (non 63 7 speed of course)
**edit. This all hinges on how ya drive it ya know. I only get a few times to let lose with the car and most other times, it's granny driving weaving in and out of speed traps so she always sets up geezer for me**

I know I have done this before and it was dramatic but this weekend it was a bust.
Interesting.

Maybe I am not pushing hard enough (car). I'll give it a shot again today. I'm in SoCal so most of the time i'm in traffic anyway.
Thanks guys, glad to know people are really feeling a difference.

Wow I'm such an Idiot, I found a thread that sais Position 1. All this time I did it on position 2. FYI to get into dyno mode I go to position 2 then back to position one then do the 3 clicks, doesn't work other way.
I'm going to try the position 1 maybe now I can feel a difference.
Reset Adaptive Gearbox/Throttle Settings:
This ECU reset procedure only erases the ADAPTIVE transmission & throttle settings. It does not erase any of the fuel/timing or other programming.
1. Put the key into the ignition and turn it clockwise to position 1 (first position).
2. Press the throttle pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.
3. Turn the ignition key anti-clockwise to position 0 (Off), then release the throttle pedal. DO NOT remove the ignition key.
4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.
I just hope I don't get a placebo effect

I heard the 2-minute wait would be significantly shortened (like 1-1.5 minutes or even less) if you do dirty talks w/ the car **while waiting**; making the car arouse faster.

DAS = software + multiplexer + cables. You can find complete packages from time to time on Ebay and in the classifieds section of this forum. You can also assemble a system from pieces per Finny's guidance: https://mbworld.org/forums/3480087-post345.html
Hope that helps.

This is much simpler than looking through classifieds or buying Chinese garbage clones from eBay... http://www.jcrecordings.com/hardware/complete-set-up
I've had nothing but great experiences with John, the owner of JC Recordings. He is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. He might be willing and able to make special arrangements for a non-UK purchase. But people outside of the UK should contact him first and not simply haul off and hit the "Buy Now" button.

It's the same setup as the dealer. DAS, SDS, STAR, STAR Diagnosis, and STAR Diagnose are all acronyms for the same system.
