2004 E55 Black on Black
Hi guys,
I saw a E55 AMG on sale in LA. I am thinking about it but its Salvage title.
The seller sent me few picture of the car before repaire.... the car looks fine to me but dont know why is Salvage. According to the seller, the car has hit the front wheel so the wheel was bented and the airBag pop out.
He changed the rear door airbag, front seat airbag and curtain airbag.
ofcourse the wheel was changed. And the paint still original paint.
The car currently has 57k miles on it. and comes with Dynamic seat, Keyless Go, rear sun-shade and heat/cool seat. But not the parking sensor. Asking $22K ..... do you guys think is fair price ? and what you guys think ? do you think it will damage the airmatic and other parts from wheel damage ? any comments will be apraciated.
Thanx !

WAY TO MUCH! You can almost get a clear title car for that price. 45k mile E55 sold the other day for $23.5k!
That car is worth 14-15k tops!

Actually according to the seller, this car was always maintained in Anaheim Mercedes..... he was going to show me the carfar repport with the vin# but I guess its ok..... dont want to play with fire.....
I found other E55 06 at 75K miles comes with eveything, Pano roof, Dynamic seat, keyless go... asking at $29K and comes with 1 year 12 month extended warranty from Mercedes. ( the warranty is $1000 worth, according to the seller) so without warranty, he can sell at $28K. Is this a fair price for 2006 ? its pretty new just the milleage....

The scary part is:
" It will start time to time, but some time it won't"
That might cost a lot of time and money to fix......

I wonder, what is the major reason people are selling their E55 so low.
This car used to be around $80k when new. They are selling $25k to $30k
what is the major issue ? can not afford the maintainance ? that can't be, if they can buy a $80k car.... should have enough $$$ to maintain...

AMG E55, Stage 1, Strait Pipe from Primary Cats
It is a buyers market Charley so take a step back and don't rush, you will be rewarded for your patience. Try to find a non-modded one owner E55 private owner with low miles. That is what I did and scored. Watch out for lease returns as some play with odometer.
Check http://www.autotrader.com/
and search private owner and west coast car is a plus
