For those with HID fogs (9006) & 9418 license plate LEDs ... question.

For those with HID fogs (9006) & 9418 license plate LEDs ... question.

Hey guys, well according to sylvania our fogs are 9006 bulbs .. and license plate are 9418

I am wondering for those who put HID kits in their fogs - did they get any error messages? I want to do this to my SL55

Also for those who put the hyper white led bulbs in their license plate lights, did they throw any codes or anything? I wanna pick up a pair, but dunno which are good or not. Can anyone provde any links to stuff they were happy with?

And do I have that right 9006 for fogs and 9418 for LEDs in license plate?

yes you are right fogs take the 9006 bulb. it depends on the HID kit you buy some need a error cancellation kit some don't.

any links to ones that don't that people have had experience with? And for license plate bulbs the LEDs we would want, ECS tuning on e90post.com sells them for the 3 series (same bulb type) and many vendors were throwing codes, theirs dont.. i emailed him if they would work for the benz's and waiting to hear back. His throw 0 codes on any of the bmws from all the feedback. Check it out:

On Sylvania the e90/e92 3 series uses the same as our cars. Think the same resistor would work?

ok.. check it.. after weeks and weeks of frustration... got the HID fog kit from this site... www.vvme.com... no error codes... $55 shipped... got them in 4 business days in 6000k to match my low beams which also throw no codes....looks amazing. trust me when i tell u, im only giving this info to help you out - save u the time and frustration i had.. not affiliated with this site at all.. but they make great product.... im interested in this 9418 license plate lights.... let me know how they turn out if you get them...
