Can't wait to see what your new found power can do! I'm hoping to hear that same loud sound soon also, most likely I'll find the same thing .

Looks massive and the sound is probably even bigger!!
Wish I could go with long tubes, but the SL only allows mid size tubes..Sucks!!

Not to burst your HP projection but (I don't know what it is really) but I was dissapointed w/final Dyno gains after I went ALL out on my C6 Vette (6.0 liter) Kook's 1 3/4 Longtubes/Kook's X-pipe/Kook's 200 cell cats/BillyBoat Bullet cat-back. Post dyno gains w/ECU/TCU were @ 30 RWHP 24 RWTO... Seperated from ECU/TCU gains, Longtube ENTIRE exhaust set-up alone netted 17 rwhp 15 rwto. There just isn't much to be gained on N/A platforms, tuner claims are just that "Only Claims" Proof was in Dynos, they all said you'll gain 30rwhp EZ blablah...
I eventually added every concievable bolt-on before selling, only had 14k miles on her & power was strong for stock 05' C6 made 348 RWHP 360 RWTO bone stock, after above exhaust work/Under Drive Pulleys/FAST-intake/DTE 3.90 gears/Vararam CAI/ multiple ECU/TCU's final POST dyno was 410 RWHP 400 RWTO = 62 RWHP & 40 RWTO gained from all the bolt-ons (if you tally Jim's CLK63 BS, the Dymag wheels are freeing-up about 30+ RWHP of the claimed 100 odd rwhp gained after bolt-ons & tuning, (minus NOS obviously) My past 6.0 liter C6 Vette was comparable as far as what RWHP will be gained after these similar mods to an MB 6.2xx liter engine.
I know it wasn't a MB 6.2XX liter but still very comparable, Longtubes is indeed 1 of the BEST mods on N/A vehicle, sound was retarded loud set-off car alarms on any street literally saw kids downtown holding hands over their ears when I hit the throttle(droan was pretty bad, in my case Bullet cat-back is hybrid straight pipes w/small resonator) Mufflers will be a must unless you plan on wearing ear plugs on frwy @ 2000 rpm's... The single dollar per dollar MOST worthwhile mod to N/A set-up is SHORTER gearing, I had DTE 3.90's put in place of stock 3.15's talk about Torque Multiplication!! Wicked off-line dig perf!

Here is the facts of My Long Tube Header Install...... Long Tubes are a must on Any Street Rod, I love the looks of Long Tubes and the Sound is a Must Now the fact that this is the FIRST CLS63 EVER to do this Mod is a plus. We have all before and after dyno numbers. These things are a work of ART.. I feel if there are any HP Gains then great but the reason I am doing these is for Looks.. oh, and sound too......

Look @ Jcart's car... I bet he get 60hp+ (no, not to the wheels).
The key thing to remember is just how bad the stock headers are:

How much did they cost? give us those kinda specs
