2008 E63 bluetooth problem

Is there any way to cut power the bluetooth puck when the car is not running? The reason I would like this is because if I am on my my phone close to my car it switches to the car even though I am not in it. I do not want to have to disconnect the puck every time I get out of the car.

The puck goes to sleep a few minutes after you leave the car. The puck remains asleep until you open the car door then it pares up. If it is switching the bluetooth on by being close to the car, you may need to have the system looked at with SDS. The car running has nothing to do with the bluetooth, it is on the SAM, and when you open the door the car wakes up.

Thank you for the quick response. Can you explain what SDS is.
Thanx, Ed

What you can do is disconnect the bluetooth from your phone so that it wouldn't pair automatically when you are being close to the car. The bluetooth pair to the car automatically when you are within 10-15 feet in distant.

STAR Diagnostics, it is the Mercedes Benz/AMG software and computer that controls and sets all the functions and parameters, also used in diagnostics/ troubleshooting.
Some popular changes to the SDS settings are,
Lower ride hight (AirMatic cars).
10 degree early engine cooling fan.
Turn off teleaid warning.
Activate BiXenon Headlamps (after upgrade from halogen)
Many other possibilities, many members here have their own SDS, and they are finding new
settings to change quite frequently.

The problem arises when sometimes you have just parked the car and got out of it and receive a call while you're going into the house or a coffee shop, as the car's phone system picks up the call. It does not happen often, but has happened to me a couple of times. It's sometimes funny (even for those brief 15 seconds) because I can hear the person's voice from outside the car without being able to respond to them for a few seconds until I unlock the car and get back in or shut off the bluetooth on my phone

There should also be an option on your phone though to allow you to switch the microphone back to your headset.

On my iPhone I am given three options: iPhone speakerphone, MB speakerphone, and iPhone handset.

There is a fault in your telematics system, One of your control units on the most ring is keeping your UHI awake (keeping BT Puck alive), just rectified same fault on 07 e320 was a faulty comand.

I need to reset bluetooth

My Android phone can no longer "see" the car phone. I would like to reset the "Puck" so as to re-pair. Basically, the 2 systems can't see each other and a full reset is in order. Any help would be great.
