Source for black sports grille for e63
Just picked up an 07 e63...
Thinking about blacking out the grille having recently seen the an Evosport C63 with a matte black grill treatment in a magazine.
I have seen aftermarket sports grilles for the W211 on ebay, performanceproducts4benz, 55tech.com, etc., but no-one seems to stock an all black (ie non-chrome) version.
Anyone know of a source? Obviously the alternative is to strip the chrome and get it sprayed but that is a pita...
Thanks in advance. Also if anyone has pics of this treatment on a iridium silver W211 please post 'em.

i just bought a 07 e63 and am in the process of blacking it out. i thought about the grill and looked, but no one makes an ALL black one like what you and i are looking for. What i will end up doing it buying a stock grill, and get it painted to match the car. its the best way to do it. unfortunately, the paint will chip.
i did this exact process on my older E55 and i loved how it turned out. but after about 1 yrs time, and many rocky roads, the grill has a few rockchips, especially on the chrome parts.
With that said, i believe i will just leave the grill stock this time b/c there are soo many chrome accents on this car that is actually fits the look.
good luck!
