Panoroof oiling/greasing

I am due for my service D and it says I have to clean and oil/grease my tracks for my panoroof. Does anyone know how to do this and what oil to use?

It also says I have to replace the carbon filter etc. Should I replace the filter or just take it out? I have read that some people take either this filter or another one out instead of replacing it. What difference does it make?

Is there any other air or fuel filters out there that are better than the OEM Mercedes products? I already have K&N replacement filters for the main engine air filters. I was just going to get a recharge kit for them. I do have to replace the fuel filter though, any suggestions?

Thanks Guys!

Use any silicone based lube for the panoroof.

The activated charcoal filters are for the cabin ventilation. They filter the air form pollutants. You cannot remove them dust them and put them back because activated charcoal filter reach a saturation point.

No need to replace fuel filter until 100k miles.

I heard my service advisor said that Fuel filter is all together with the fuel tank. So when to change the fuel filter has to change the tank..... not sure if its true...

No that is not true. It is located in the fuel tank and is assessible by removing the bottom rear seat.
