What are your thoughts on my HP/TQ

I am finally getting my 180mm pulley and LET tune done today, With kleemann headers, no resonator, and magnaflow axel back, do you guys think I will hit 500WHP?

A solid stage one car (pulley, tune, filters) will put out 460 rwhp on a dynojet.
From your description you have a stage two car. You should be around 500 rwhp if not a little less.

If you don't have cats how can you have a magnaflow cat back system, you have magnaflow mufflers. Hehehe just pulling you leg.

Good luck get a baseline before tuning and get a dyno pull after tuning. Make sure the dyno room had adequate cooling or else your afr is going to be pig rich.
Get all the readings in 4th gear.

I'm going to guess 475-480 rwhp and 500-510tq. Alot depends on your pre-mod dyno numbers though. You might have a factory freak or a factory slug and that will change the projected numbers.

Chiromikey did a test and removed his 200 cell race cats and lost power might want to find some 200 cell race cats and throw them in?

The cats were left on for now, but I sure as hell hope my torque is WAYYYYYYY more than 510 at the wheels, with my headers, pulley, and tune I am expecting around 570 or so at the wheels on a dynojet. I am hoping HP will be around 500 whp.

LET will be here in 3 weeks and I am getting a custom tune done, so I will get good numbers then. I may try and go before then just to get an idea.

Before I added my mufflers and removed cats and resonators I dyno'd 485hp and 595 tq. That was with headers, x pipe, LET tune, 180 pulley.

I'm gonna say around 480 whp if not a tad bit more. I don't think you'll hit 500 whp to be honest. Just my 2 cents though.

Stage 1 => 460 WHP
Stage 2 => 480WHP
Stage 3 =>500 WHP
so on and so on...

180mm Pulley

I'm not absolutely sure, but I think Kleemann's and Renntech's "standard" step up pulley size is 172mm or something like that. Does anybody out there know how much the more aggressive 180mm pulley is worth over a "standard" renntech or kleemann pulley?

I'm running Kleemann's standard pulley with their K2 set up: headers, primary cat delete. I also have a VRP CF intake, Evo cooling kit, PTE T-stat, and no center resonator. I need to get my car on a dyno one of these days, but I can say that stepping from the K1 to the K2 headers and primary cat delete was beyond noticable. It was a BIG step up.

With a similar set up but the bigger 180mm pulley, you shoud be very pleased with your numbers!

Hey buddy!

A car with similiar mods dynoed 460rwhp on a dyno dynamics over at CPT, it is the heartbreaker dyno.... a s600 w/ kleemann tune did 466whp to give you an idea of how it reads..... a stock e55 did 400 rwhp on it...

I have the Kleenman headers. I just added Corsa mufflers, a custom heat exchanger and extra coolant tank. I don't think the mufflers will add power, but that's where I'm at right now. Next step is throttle body upgrade.

Dyno dynamics FTW!~!

That's what I dyno'ed on too!

595 tq at the wheels with a Stage 2? That's like 740 at the crank. Sounds a bit too high but anything's possible I guess.

The thing is a monster, it was put together by us. At the time it was dynoed it had a 3" exhaust, Race Cats, X-pipe, all into stock mufflers, KN filters, Plugs/Wires, CM30 Pump, and a lil TVT magic.

The 180mm Pulley puts out ridiculous TQ. I'd imagine by opening up the intake side that we will shift the Power band and lose some TQ in replace of more HP.

i think u may get over 500! i sure hope so.

i dynoed my car on a mustang a few months ago with kleeman k2 (168mm pulley,headers, and DP), VRP CF airbox, intake pipes and x-pipe. i ended up with 481 whp and 562 tq.
those were 3rd gear pulls as well.

for some reason the 2 different dynos ive gone to were not able to get proper 4th gear pulls on my car. i dont know why, im in dyno mode and i also have speed limiter completely removed. i will try again after installing 82mmTB and mid section exhaust (no more cats) when i get back into town.

i cant wait to see your numbers because i will be doing cooling upgrades and 180mm pulley with LET custom tune in the near future as well!

Yes, I think with the kleemans, pulley and tune I will hit close to 500whp. I am also running 3" straight pipes in place of the resonator and basically 3 " straight pipes from the rear irs axles back. There is no restriction in the exhaust except for the sec cat which I have heard flows pretty well.

I am just hoping for the 500whp club with my mods. If not, next up will be the 82mm T/B but then again I have heard LET tq converter is a major upgrade over the stocker....

Depends on what kind of dyno it is.

Dynojet = maybe
Mustang/Dyno Dynamics without correction = no
Mustang/Dyno Dynamics with correction = maybe
Dynapack = probably

i barely made that club on my last dyno...barely! but i actually liked the fact that my e never put down 500rwhp. it sure "outed" a lot of dyno queens at the track.

chiromikey's 1st Kleemann Pulley

Mike,

Just wanted to let you know, I STILL havy your original Kleemann pulley under the hood. I finally got a pair of Kleemann Headers to keep it company! That plus the other mods (see post above) and the car is a real beast!

Do you know what diameter Kleemann's and Renntech's 'standard' upgrade pulleys are compared to stock? I am considering a 180mm pulley since I am running pretty good cooling upgrades and now headers to accommodate the greater input through the SC and I'm just trying to figure out what sort of hp/tq increase I might realize.

wow, it's been a while...I forgot you bought that. I'm not sure anymore but iirc, it's 172mm. i'd bet you might see another 40hp with the 180mm as long as your cooling mods are maxed out.

btw, if anyone thinks my dyno queen comments were directed toward anyone specific, or anyone even on this forum, they're quite mistaken.

The way I would take the statement is numbers on a dyno are just that...numbers. There are many people I have spoken to during my short time here at MBWorld and most say the same thing.

Quit causing trouble Mike...!

BTW chawkins2001 You should have an X pipe, it will make it much smoother. You will feel the diffrence and the sound is amazing compared to straight pipes.

my 0.2

I am contemplating putting an x pipe in place of the secondary mufflers, but it will be ungodly loud, so I am thinking about it. I will have to make a descision soon as LET will be here on June 27 to tune my beast.

Good luck with the numbers... Id rather have a strong flat curve any day than some peak number. As Chiro said, the DQ's dont always have the real world answer at the track.
