Well, since facts and figures are what some of you like the best. Chew on these from drag times .com
There are 7 C63's in the 11's with the fastest being a 11.48, at 121mph
There are 2 E63's in the 11's with the fastest being a 11.95
There are 3 CLK63, all black series, with Jcart at a 11.60 at 123
Now, get ready for it![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
There are 66 E55's in the 11's with the fastest at 10.74 at 132
The jury rests your honor

There's a reason why this:
The baddest and fastest Mercedes ever built!

Has this:
Not a 63 or a 65TT V12, but rather a 55Kompressor!

That's great and all, but the 55K has been around for 6 years, E63 3 years?, C63 1.5 years, and BS was 07 or 08.
We all know how easy it is to mod the 55k, but that data isn't really fair to compare total numbers. Wait till the 63 gets some mod options to choose from and time at the track.

Sorry guys not trying to beat a dead horse, but the E55 is truely hard to beat. And yes I would gladly drive a E63 or BS if I could afford it

My C63 after the Powerchip ECU tune feels real close to my modded E55 (TB, Shorties, and VRP intercooler).
I like the handling best on the C63 a lot like my "M" cars so to me it's the best of the two worlds combined.

Don't base your choice on bragging rights. That'll be short lived.
After all, you're going to have to live with the car on a daily basis. Size? Comfort? Handling? Amenities?
Unless you're buying a project car.......

Hey, just haven some fun
![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
It's all good, as long as its an AMG. It's just hard to pass on a 26K car that can go DEEP into the 11's for just a little scratch. And that simply isn't going to happen with the 63 engine over the next couple of years. Oh wait a minute, it might if they get the TT. But then again rumor has it they are going back to the old 5.5 block. WHOA who would have thought

PS: I am currently cheating and only have a S600 with the AMG package. It was factory, but I understand that I am a poser or whatever

Yeah I know what you're saying. But short lived means it's just that, bragging rights only. You have another life too, right? ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Get a brand new daily and get a 26K E55 for a project car. That solves it![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
OP wondered about C63 being a downgrade. Check Max. H's post; he pretty much said it all:

Downgrade upgrade who cares what other people think. Threads like this will only start arguments. You should test drive it then make a decision. IMO I doubt the C63 will disappoint you as far as performance goes. If you can do with a smaller cabin then go for it! Make sure post pics if you get one. GL
Here is my 2 cents on this comparison.
Is it a downgrade? Yes C < E
Build quality? E55
Straight line speed? E55
Handling? C63
Outside Appearance? C63. It looks aggressive and menacing. E55 looks classy and slightly aggressive.
Interior? E55. It's more comfortable and spacious. C63 has newer controls and good looking bucket seats but, still feels like a C class.
Fun factor? C63 overall
Wow factor? C63
Exhaust note? C63

I could probly park my C63 next to your $90,000 M5 and people will compliment it 100x more. Sure the interior might not be a big deal, but who buys a performance car and expect to have a real luxury interior. Not to mention with just $1500 for a Kleeman tune it will smoke any M5 or M6. And stock it will easily keep up with your godly M5
Impressive enough for a "C-Class" ?![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

And P.S.- After I got done checking option boxes, it MSRP'd for a good amount north of $90k.
Amazing how people have a chip on their shoulders after I get done complimenting a car and point out the ONE FLAW that hits a raw nerve, the fact that it's still an entry level chassis.

I'm sorry little guy, but it's going to be awful difficult to park your C63 next to my M5 when it's sitting right in front of the restaurant/lounge/hotel where I'm playing, unless you like to leave your car in the middle of the street. AMG badge or not, it's still a C-class, I could care less if you can drift concentric circles around my M5.
And P.S.- After I got done checking option boxes, it MSRP'd for a good amount north of $90k.

I thought about it and and J 200I is right. The E class AMG does get more wow then a C class AMG. I only said C63 because it looks so menacing. But, I already mentioned that. Carry on...
