Not so sure of a stock E55 being quicker than a 2010 E63 with the new tranny and launch control. In any case I'm sure the E/CLS 55's will still be quicker than the new TTV8's to some of you guys.

+3 to my previous comment. Ignorance ftl! N.A got less power than supercharged or TT. A new ttv8 will be a beast, just Mercedes struggling to understand that N/A is no go, BMW already understood that.

Just saw the 2010 E63 today at my local dealer today.
It looks fantastic!
From what I understand, the front suspension is now a fixed/coil, and not that air/sofa/lazyboy suspension.
And the MCT is supposed to be unreal...
The one at the dealer just got unwrapped and was already sold, so I couldn't test drive it

I agree. My wife has an 09 C350. Although I like the outside (most of it anyway... love the front view... the back is okay.. but too "bland"), I am not a fan of the interior. It does look too much like the C class! Personally, I love the instrument cluster of the 06 model much better!!! I don't like the shifter in the new E class either... Having said that, there are many feature on the new E63 that I do like... The new model is more aggressive, but I think the old model has more style...

Okay, so it's 2:30 this afternoon and I get a frantic call from my boys:
Boys: "Dad!!! we are behind a new E63 and it is just crazy looking!!"
Dad: "WTF..... that car is not even on the road yet, are you sure it's not the old body style?"
Boys: "It has square tail pipes and it sounds just evil!!"
Dad: "Follow that fuking car and take some pictures.........."
Boys: "Dad, it pulled into a restaurant.............we stopped the guy and he is very cool.............he said to come by to see his car."
Dad: "On my way!!!"
So I head five minutes down the road and pull into the restaurant only to be greeted by a dozen guys surrounding the 2010 E63. I have to admit that the pictures do not do it justice. The car is beautifully sculpted and looks just plain menacing.
As I start to chat with the owner I quickly realize that he is the manager/owner of a large Mercedes dealer in our area. Fortunately he also recognized me and my car (because my business is right down the street). So after a couple of minutes of me slobbering over his car, he tosses me the keys and tells me to take it for a spin and I respond.........."well........okay."
So, I take her out for ten minutes, by myself, and all I can think of the entire time is that.....I NEED ONE OF THESE!!!!!
The suspension, the steering and the gearbox are light years ahead of my K3 E55's and to top it off.......this thing has an absolutely insane exhaust note. The interior is very modern and fresh but I am not sure that the materials are as high a quality as the W211 E55. Regardless of that, it is still an extremely well executed interior.
Anyways, congrats on ordering a 2010 E63......I'm jealous!!
I will definitely have one of these is my garage in the future.
