Ordered my 2010 E63 AMG
Hello folks. Been driving my KLEEMANN K2 C63 AMG (2009) for about 6 months now. Just saw the new 2010 E350, and man does it look awesome (inside and out). Turns out my MB dealer had access to the 2010 E63 specs & I put an order in for one. Black on black, all options except performance package, but added the 19" PP wheels. Hopefully will be here ~ Oct./Nov. Don't even have prices for it yet...

Is the W212 E63 will be much faster than the 55k ?
and how much really will be faster ? I dont think it worth for 55k owner jump to W212 for maybe a 0-60 4.2 sec instead of 4.5

2009 C63 AMG
Thank you for those offering their congrats.
Guess I should have expected the w212 < e55 thing. Perhaps surprisingly, I don't care which is faster. Remember I'm coming from a C63, so I'm doing w212 AMG mostly due to the creature comforts & larger size -- as I'll be doing more road travel. My 650 hp 997 TT is my rocket.

Really now, I personally don't care if the e55 is faster than the e63 (stock to stock). We're talking tenths of seconds in the 1/4 times and modest trap speed advantages.
With that said, each car forum I visit has this very concern. E46 M3 > E9x M3, 997 TT > 997 GT3....goes on and on. Human nature I guess. Really, no harm in it, just boring discussion topic IMHO.

The reason IMO to get this car is the MCT. I knew transmissions were important but after getting the GT-R there is nothing better than the DCT (MCT). I thought my M6 in S6 SMG III shifted fast- sorry it doesnt hold a candle to the GT-R and I assume the E63 will be no different.
What clearly holds the GT-R back (weight) is made up in the shifts and the ability of the transmission to get the power down.
I look forward to seeing some excellent times with this E63 and its new trans.
