It's Official - $76k for 2003 E55! Not Bad!
The base price has finally been revealed. The Car Connection says $76,000. However, that price seems odd - it is too even? If the $720 Destination Charge is included that would be a base price of $75,280.

REAL PRICE INCREASE IS ONLY $5,535!
If this price includes the destination charge and the 2003 E55 does not include Xenon and Rear Shade the overall increase adding the supercharger and increase of HP is only $5,535. That is really an small increase based on all the power and new technology in the W211 E55.
2003 E55:
$75,280 Base Price
$720 Destination Charge
$1,150 Xenon Headlamps
$400 Rear Sunshade
TOTAL $77,550
2002 E55:
$71,350 Base Price
$665 Destination Charge
$n/c Xenon Headlamps
$n/c Rear Sunshade

thats about where you estimated it KEV...
good call. i just did not see it feasible for MB to price it any higher than mid 70's. i hope my financial situation changes soon or i may have to "settle" for a C32!

That's not a bad price, need to start saving for a good downpayment!

Thanks hmrdwn, now I have no purpose in life. No more posting, I guess I can just go home and become a hermit! What better way to waste time at the daily grind?
I had a hell of a time convincing many that the cars "base" price would not be $85k. Many speculated that you can't add a $18k supercharger, and almost 500HP and only slightly raise the price. Especially since those poor Aussies are paying $130k and up for E55's. I saved every new W211 owner in the US $10,000.
Next speculation debate:
2003 & 2004 E55 same engine - 2005 E55 Direct Injection Engine 550HP.
JamE55 and I will get our next E55 after the DI engines and the W211 Face lift.
